Amanda Paolicelli:

What's up radiant icons and welcome back to dare to

2

:

be iconic, the podcast made for

icons daring to be themselves.

3

:

I'm your host, Amanda Paolicelli.

4

:

And today's tea time sesh is all

about manifestation and delusion.

5

:

Manifestation and delusion are

honestly the two things that I've

6

:

solely run off of and are honestly

the reason why we have our own

7

:

business and are doing our podcast.

8

:

I mean, yes, I attribute it to hard

work, but manifestation and delusion are

9

:

the root of what make Amanda, Amanda.

10

:

And I decided why not spill all the tea

about How manifestation delusion really

11

:

do run my life in the best possible way.

12

:

But before we get into that, I dare

you guys to connect with me on socials

13

:

and make sure to grab your copy of

breakup with the past, fall in love

14

:

with the future, your five step guide on

turning your pain into power, and that

15

:

is all linked in the show notes below.

16

:

All right radiant icons, So as I

mentioned in our little introduction

17

:

today Manifestation delusion are the two

topics that we are spilling all the tea

18

:

about and let me tell you I've never been

more excited for a tea time sesh because

19

:

manifestation and delusion as I mentioned

previously are are two of the things

20

:

that I've solely run off of, and that is

something that I honestly pride myself in.

21

:

I have mastered my

manifestation techniques.

22

:

I have mastered the art of delusion.

23

:

And I can't wait to spill it with

you guys, but before I go into that.

24

:

I do want to say that

manifestation and delusion work

25

:

with a lot of hard work, okay?

26

:

It's not just that you manifest

these things and you are this

27

:

delusional and oh my god, they appear.

28

:

No.

29

:

You have to work hard for them.

30

:

It's this beautiful combination

of manifestation, delusion,

31

:

and a lot of hard work.

32

:

So, are you guys ready for this

Tea Time Sesh because, oh my

33

:

god, it's gonna be a good one!

34

:

Alright, radiant icons, your

Tea Time Slash is starting now.

35

:

So my friends joke with me all the

time, they're like, Amanda, you

36

:

literally predict the future, like,

you say things and they come true.

37

:

And honestly, if we're

going way, way back.

38

:

Little baby Amanda was manifesting dare

to be iconic before she even realized

39

:

what the concept of manifestation was

and I hold that solely to this constant

40

:

faith and belief in myself and my

talent and abilities and that has never

41

:

changed and maybe some can contribute

that to me being stubborn or hardheaded.

42

:

But you know, honestly, label it as

determination and a lot of confidence.

43

:

Little baby Amanda had a lot

of confidence in her dreams.

44

:

And you know what?

45

:

I am very proud of that because

look at where we are, right?

46

:

And delusion and manifestation

have carried me this far in life.

47

:

And honestly, it's not a bad look.

48

:

It's really not.

49

:

I'm honestly enjoying it.

50

:

It's really exhausting at times.

51

:

Like I am very, very tired right now

recording this, but manifestation and

52

:

delusion are so important to me that I'm

just going to push through the tiredness.

53

:

So anyway, as I was saying, little

baby Amanda was being delusional

54

:

and manifesting before she even

had a label to this undying

55

:

belief that she had in herself.

56

:

And let me tell you, these are three

things that I would tell everyone

57

:

until I was blue in the face.

58

:

These were honestly the three things

that I would introduce myself as.

59

:

Hi, I'm Amanda.

60

:

I'm a star.

61

:

I'm going to win an Oscar and

I'm going to build an empire.

62

:

Two of those three things have come true.

63

:

We're hoping for the third

one to come true some point

64

:

eventually, but anyway, I digress.

65

:

Two out of the three things that

I have told people since I was

66

:

little baby Amanda have come true.

67

:

Those were the things that I

would introduce myself with.

68

:

Those are like my three fun facts that

I would go into any room, and I would

69

:

tell people until I was blue in the face.

70

:

They were the first things I

would introduce myself with.

71

:

Yep, I know.

72

:

I don't know if that's a little bit

of craziness, I don't know if that's a

73

:

little bit of, This girl has no sense of

reality, but honestly, it's not that bad.

74

:

Not having a sense of reality because I

think delusion is so powerful in itself.

75

:

So let's start with delusion.

76

:

Delusion is based in this concept of

having this unwavering belief in yourself

77

:

and faith, knowing that you will get

what you want because it's already yours.

78

:

And I think delusion is honestly

something so beautiful, right?

79

:

Because it allows you to

dream so much bigger than you

80

:

honestly couldn't even imagine.

81

:

When I was a little girl, my

first dream in life was to be an

82

:

actress and was to win the Oscar.

83

:

And I remember being so delusional

when I was little that I would be

84

:

in my room pretending that I was

being interviewed for the red carpet.

85

:

I would practice my

poses on the red carpet.

86

:

Like I was so delusional that my

wildest dreams would come true.

87

:

Now look at where we are today.

88

:

I said, I'm a star.

89

:

I think that is still true.

90

:

I really do.

91

:

And, well, I'm running my own empire.

92

:

Like I said, I was right.

93

:

Like I have my own business.

94

:

It's in a different capacity

than what I originally thought.

95

:

Um, I have my own journal out.

96

:

I have my own podcast.

97

:

We have a lot of other

exciting events going on.

98

:

I'm going to the Spanish

Grand Prix for work.

99

:

This is so much more than little

Amanda could have even dreamed of.

100

:

Like, it has surpassed her wildest dreams.

101

:

But it's because I allowed myself to be

so delusional since I was a little girl.

102

:

And I never stopped.

103

:

I always kept being delusional.

104

:

Even when people told me,

Amanda, it's such a stupid dream.

105

:

Why are you dreaming all these things?

106

:

They're not going to come true.

107

:

Because honestly, when you are delusional,

people are going to hate on you.

108

:

That is the truth.

109

:

People will hate.

110

:

And you know what?

111

:

You just got to let them hate.

112

:

Because all that matters is that you

believe in yourself and know in your heart

113

:

that these things that you desire, this

wish in your heart, they will come true.

114

:

And that is the secret to delusion.

115

:

You have to give no shits on what

anyone else thinks about you.

116

:

You have to have this unwavering

confidence and belief in yourself,

117

:

which goes back to daring to be iconic,

daring to be you, stay true to you

118

:

on this entire path of getting what

you want, because eventually you will

119

:

get what you want and it's going to

be better than you even imagined.

120

:

All these little wild dreams that were in

my heart as a little girl are coming true

121

:

and more, and this is just the beginning.

122

:

So I'm not gonna stop being delusional

just because X, Y, and Z think it's

123

:

the stupidest thing they've ever heard.

124

:

Okay, let that be the stupidest

thing you've ever heard in

125

:

your life, but guess what?

126

:

It's happening.

127

:

I tell my mom this all the time

with everything coming out, right?

128

:

We have a really cool announcement coming

out in July that honestly, little baby

129

:

Amanda is like, dying over because this

was like, one of her biggest dreams.

130

:

And it's actually happening.

131

:

And I tell my mom this all the time.

132

:

See, look, I told you I

was gonna make it happen.

133

:

See, look, I always said I

was gonna do X, Y, and Z.

134

:

Because I was so delusional and I

believed in myself throughout the entire

135

:

way, even when other people didn't.

136

:

I still believed in myself.

137

:

I still dared to be myself,

and I still dared to be iconic.

138

:

And that is what's so important

about delusion and manifesting what

139

:

you want, is believing in yourself.

140

:

And not giving a shit what anyone

else says or thinks about it.

141

:

Because you know eventually,

it's gonna happen.

142

:

You don't know how, you don't

know when, but it will happen.

143

:

And honestly, looking back at

my life It all makes sense.

144

:

Like it genuinely all

makes sense and holy shit.

145

:

I really am doing it.

146

:

I have a right here in my

manifestation journal from last year.

147

:

I have multiple journal entries saying

that I will be running my own wellness

148

:

and lifestyle empire that focuses on

being the most iconic version of yourself.

149

:

And I remember texting my two

best friends, Deandra and Becs.

150

:

Texting them at the

beginning of last year.

151

:

Hey, I wanna start my own business.

152

:

And I want it to be something

about being an icon, being iconic.

153

:

I don't know the name, I don't know

the vision, but that's what I want.

154

:

And then I let that dream

sit for a little while.

155

:

I let it marinate while I was

at my regular day job, doing

156

:

my regular day job things.

157

:

I thought I wanted to be doing

the executive producing things

158

:

and just working that I know I

have no time for my own business.

159

:

I have no time to enact this little dream

that I've had in my heart for a while.

160

:

Right.

161

:

No, well, guess what?

162

:

I got laid off a couple months after that.

163

:

And I really have the time to be like,

okay, Amanda, This is your time to shine.

164

:

That little dream that you were marinating

in your heart, this is your chance.

165

:

Capitalize on it.

166

:

So I just did it.

167

:

I got laid off on August 4th of 2023.

168

:

I had two weeks to freak out

and figure out my life and a lot

169

:

of emotional, emotional calls.

170

:

I got my little dream together and I

th,:

171

:

The opportunity landed in my lap

at the perfect moment in time.

172

:

So I was able to come up with a business

plan and envision how I wanted Dare to Be

173

:

Iconic to actually be Dare to Be Iconic.

174

:

And now, in a couple of weeks,

I'm going to Spain, the first

175

:

time out of the country, the

first time without my parents.

176

:

I'm stepping outside of my comfort

zone, I'm going to a sport that I

177

:

didn't really become a fan of until

literally the time I got laid off.

178

:

And that was a big dream of

mine, and now it's happening.

179

:

What?

180

:

So honestly, I am living proof

that delusion is the solution to

181

:

making all your dreams come true.

182

:

Now enough about delusion,

manifestation is rooted in

183

:

positive thinking and delusion.

184

:

And I will say that until

I'm blue in the face.

185

:

There's something so powerful

about manifestation, right?

186

:

Manifestation, I think,

gets a bad rap at times.

187

:

People were like, Oh, like,

manifestation, like, it's not real.

188

:

Like, you guys are just

imagining all this stuff.

189

:

Like, you know what?

190

:

Okay, there's gonna be haters.

191

:

There's gonna be haters

with whatever you do.

192

:

But honestly, manifestation

truly is magic.

193

:

You have to try out different techniques

that work for you, and the ones

194

:

that work for you are truly magic.

195

:

But let's go a little bit

more into manifestation.

196

:

Manifestation honestly ties back into

trusting yourself and the process.

197

:

I take manifestation so

seriously, and I base it with

198

:

the idea of intentions, right?

199

:

So if you guys follow the Dare to

be Iconic blog, You'll know that I

200

:

take new years very seriously.

201

:

And I hadn't taken seriously before,

because honestly I was like, well, like

202

:

new year's isn't anything special, like

all, but I had to change my mindset on it.

203

:

Once I changed my mindset

about it, honestly, at

204

:

December, 2022 going into 2023.

205

:

Once I flipped my entire mindset on

what New Year's actually represents.

206

:

It really allowed me to tap into

the delusion that I've had and

207

:

manifest the shit out of my year.

208

:

And 2023 was one of the

best years of my life.

209

:

And it's because I stayed

true to my intention.

210

:

And I think intentions and

manifestations go hand in hand,

211

:

along with delusion, obviously.

212

:

But let's get into it.

213

:

I like to set words for my years

because I realized once I did like New

214

:

Year's resolutions and all that stuff,

I never actually stuck to my word.

215

:

I never actually did the things

that I said I was going to do.

216

:

And I look at the halfway mark and I'm

like, Oh crap, I didn't do anything.

217

:

And I feel really unmotivated

and I get really hard on myself.

218

:

So I was like, you know what?

219

:

We're changing our whole

life around in a year.

220

:

Let's try something new.

221

:

Let's actually have a new year's

routine that is filled with

222

:

manifestation and a lot of delusion.

223

:

But anyway, it all started with a word.

224

:

I picked a word that was my

intention for the entire year.

225

:

This year, trust.

226

:

Honestly, I've never been happier that

I picked the word trust in my life.

227

:

And I knew I was going to

have:

228

:

Trust.

229

:

All the way back in 2023, because

of an influencer that I love, Morgan

230

:

Willett, she gave me the idea for this.

231

:

And she said that that year when

I had first found her doing all

232

:

this stuff, her year was trust.

233

:

And I was like, Ooh, I want to

save that for:

234

:

I need it to be the year of me.

235

:

I had two months of really shitty times.

236

:

You know what?

237

:

I actually scratched that.

238

:

All of 2022, I was not Amanda.

239

:

I was a shell of myself.

240

:

And then when I got broken up with,

I was even more of a shell of myself.

241

:

I was even more broken,

lost, and confused.

242

:

And I was like, you know what?

243

:

I really need to change my life.

244

:

And I know I've spoken about this

before on here, but honestly, it was

245

:

some feeling within myself where I was

like, it was an overwhelming feeling,

246

:

honestly, of like, you need to better

yourself for you, not for anyone else.

247

:

You need to start living

your life for you.

248

:

And I didn't know where to start.

249

:

I didn't know.

250

:

How to begin becoming the best

version, most iconic version of myself.

251

:

I didn't know how to live my most iconic

life because I didn't know who I was.

252

:

So I was like, you know what, what

better than to make it the year of me?

253

:

And Oh my God, the year of me was the

most beautiful, magical year of my

254

:

life and it really instilled this And

magic in myself that honestly, I lost.

255

:

I gained my sparkle

again in the year of me.

256

:

And i'm so proud to say it's grown

even more throughout this year, which

257

:

is so beautiful to see because it

really shows how Once you believe

258

:

in yourself and you go after your

dreams and You choose yourself the

259

:

opportunities that come flying at you.

260

:

It's truly amazing.

261

:

It's really one of the most beautiful

lessons that I've learned throughout

262

:

this whole Dare to be Iconic

journey, but I truly owe it all to

263

:

Manifestation, the beginning of it.

264

:

And here's why.

265

:

If I didn't go back to my intention

of me, when I was starting my New

266

:

Year's ritual, and we'll get into it, I

wouldn't have the life that I have now.

267

:

If I didn't have that year of growth, that

all went back to this two letter word,

268

:

me, I would not be where I am today, which

in turn goes into manifestation and trust.

269

:

I had to trust in myself.

270

:

I had to trust in my decisions.

271

:

I have to trust my intention,

which loops into the manifestation

272

:

and the energy that I put into my

intention and to my trust in myself.

273

:

The technique that I owe

it all to is scripting.

274

:

Scripting is one of my favorite techniques

and it is honestly what started this

275

:

whole beautiful New Year's ritual that

I love so much, that I believe in, that

276

:

I've carried throughout the months.

277

:

But scripting is writing a diary entry

from yourself as if you already have the

278

:

thing you are desiring and you make sure

to write it in past tense as if it's

279

:

already your reality and this has been

the manifestation trick for me when I

280

:

want to manifest something in particular

or I want to marinate on the dreams

281

:

that are in my heart because I know

my dreams and my wishes and my desires

282

:

are placed in my heart for a reason.

283

:

But sometimes we have to

help them out a little bit.

284

:

And not only do I contribute, you

know, helping them out to hard work,

285

:

but also manifestation and scripting

has been a vital in that process.

286

:

So when I set my intentions for

the new year, the first thing

287

:

I do is I pick out a word.

288

:

And then I write, or I script,

what I want my year to look like.

289

:

So I'll write a letter to my end of

year self, and basically Envision

290

:

the year that I want for myself and

I'd be very, very, very specific.

291

:

Being specific is key

in manifestation, okay?

292

:

The more specific, the better.

293

:

I promise you, if you have a certain

thing that you want to come true, not

294

:

only do you have to work hard for it and

you have to be a little bit delusional.

295

:

But you have to manifest it, and I think

scripting is a beautiful technique where

296

:

it really allows you to write out all of

your deepest, darkest desires and wishes,

297

:

and you really are able to envision it

for yourself while you're writing it out.

298

:

So for me, I write a letter

to my end of the year self on

299

:

how the whole year has gone.

300

:

And so when I open at the end of the

year, December 31st of that year,

301

:

I'll be able to read everything

that I envisioned for myself.

302

:

And honestly, last year I

checked off everything and more.

303

:

So it really, really does work because

it allows you to envision your reality.

304

:

And you have so many

opportunities in a new year.

305

:

So why not capitalize it?

306

:

Why not use it to your advantage?

307

:

So by going into the new year, or

honestly, any period where you have

308

:

the opportunity to start anew, or if

you just want to start anew, do it.

309

:

Script out your reality.

310

:

The beautiful thing about life

is that we're given so many

311

:

opportunities to start again.

312

:

Whether it's you get laid off, whether

it's the beginning of a new year,

313

:

whether it's a breakup, whether it's,

and that could be a breakup romantically

314

:

or friendship wise, because those

allow you also to have a new start.

315

:

Anything like that, that allows you to

have a new opportunity to change your

316

:

life, you have to capitalize on it.

317

:

And manifestation is the key to that.

318

:

Hard work is the key to that.

319

:

And so is being delusional.

320

:

So all those three things mixed

together will allow you to create the

321

:

reality that you want for yourself.

322

:

It goes back to your intention.

323

:

It goes back to your why and your why,

as we all know, radiant icons, I love

324

:

going back to your why, whether it's

starting a 30 day challenge, whether

325

:

it's starting a new journey for yourself,

going back to your why and really

326

:

going, okay, what are my intentions with

this journey that I'm about to go on?

327

:

It's so important to keep in mind

when you are envisioning the reality

328

:

that you want for yourself, that you

always stay true to your intention.

329

:

Because if you don't stay true to your

intention, I promise you, I promise you,

330

:

I promise you, things will not work out.

331

:

You have to stay not only true to

yourself, but true to your intention,

332

:

because that good energy that

you're bringing into it, right,

333

:

specifically with scripting, the

better outcome that will come from it.

334

:

Now, another technique that I

love to use when it comes to

335

:

manifestation is the pillow method.

336

:

And I'm a big, big fan of this.

337

:

You will find random pieces of paper

in my pillow, but that's basically

338

:

where you write out your desires,

your dreams, your wishes, you tear

339

:

the piece of paper, and guess what?

340

:

You put it in your pillow

and you sleep on it.

341

:

And you sleep on that manifestation,

on that little piece of paper in

342

:

your pillow until it comes true.

343

:

So I have a lot of these in my pillow

right here behind me, but I just

344

:

think there's something so beautiful

about truly sleeping on your dreams.

345

:

And I think of it like this, right?

346

:

When you write it out, I think

there's so much power in writing

347

:

things out, and it really allows

you to clear out your thoughts.

348

:

It allows you to dream big.

349

:

There's some secrecy behind it.

350

:

But there's also this rawness to it.

351

:

It's intimate.

352

:

You are truly sleeping on your

manifestations in the best possible way

353

:

because you're allowing those words to

permeate into your brain and allow you

354

:

to physically dream of this reality

that you've written out for yourself.

355

:

Manifestations and delusions are

something that are so sacred.

356

:

There's something so beautiful because

there are biggest and wildest dreams.

357

:

It's a beautiful mix of writing

out your dreams, believing in

358

:

yourself, saying them out loud,

which in turn makes it your reality.

359

:

It's kind of a beautiful

thing when you think of it.

360

:

Like, manifestation and delusion really

allow you to dream so much bigger

361

:

than you could have even imagined.

362

:

And it really allows you to enact on the

dreams that you have set in your heart.

363

:

Those dreams, those wishes, those

desires are in your heart for a reason.

364

:

They are there for a purpose.

365

:

So why not enact on them?

366

:

Why not make them come true?

367

:

And why not help speed up the process,

with obviously hard work, but with a

368

:

little bit of manifestation and delusion?

369

:

And I think it's something so freeing

when you allow yourself to dream

370

:

bigger than you could even imagine.

371

:

And you have this undying and

unwavering faith in yourself.

372

:

And I think that all goes back to daring

to be yourself and daring to be iconic.

373

:

Because you are proud of who you are and

you are just going after it and you're

374

:

not giving a shit what anyone else

has to say, you're just going for it.

375

:

And I think there's something

so beautiful about that.

376

:

And I think we need to

invest in that more.

377

:

I really, really do,

because you know what?

378

:

I'm living proof of it.

379

:

If there is anyone to tell you that this

shit works, it's this girl right here.

380

:

Because iconic girls just run off

of manifestation and delusion and

381

:

that's it, point blank and period.

382

:

So radiant icons, make sure to

manifest and be delusional as shit.
