Amanda Paolicelli:

What's up Radiant Icons and welcome back to Dare to

2

:

be Iconic, the podcast made for

icons daring to be themselves.

3

:

I'm your host Amanda Paolicelli and you

guys, I am finally back from my trip to

4

:

Spain for the Spanish Grand Prix and yes,

I am very sad, but I'm also very excited

5

:

to spill all this tea with you guys.

6

:

If you weren't following the live

updates that I was posting on my

7

:

social media pages, well, one,

what are you doing with your life?

8

:

And two, you guys are in for a

treat , because I wrote down all my

9

:

lessons from the Spanish Grand Prix.

10

:

And we're going to go

through them one by one.

11

:

And I promise you, each lesson has

a very entertaining story to tell.

12

:

And that's just within

the Spanish Grand Prix.

13

:

That's just this episode.

14

:

So, I have so much tea to

spill that I'm splitting up

15

:

my trip to Spain in two parts.

16

:

Yes, that's right, a two parter everyone.

17

:

Next week I will be answering

all your questions about my

18

:

trip to Spain in general.

19

:

Everything and anything that you guys

sent me on Instagram about my Spain

20

:

trip including the Grand Prix will

be answered in next week's episode.

21

:

Now I know what you all are thinking,

Amanda, did you meet Lando Norris?

22

:

I did not meet Lando Norris,

unfortunately, but it's okay.

23

:

I will meet him eventually, but

you want to know who I did meet?

24

:

I met Logan Sargent.

25

:

That's right, everyone.

26

:

I met the only American driver

on the grid, Logan Sargent.

27

:

And then I met all the Williams drivers.

28

:

I met Leah, I met Franco,

I met Zach, I met Luke.

29

:

Literally everyone and anyone.

30

:

And that has to do with

the Williams fan zone.

31

:

So let's get into it, radiant Icons,

your tea time sesh is starting now.

32

:

The first lesson from

the Spanish Grand Prix.

33

:

Being nice and staying true to

yourself always pays off because at

34

:

the end of the day what you put out

into the world is what you receive.

35

:

I solely believe that we would have not

met Logan if it wasn't for the kindness

36

:

that we were putting out when we were

interacting with the Williams team.

37

:

So, let me get into how

I met Logan Sargeant.

38

:

I obviously had been traveling with Danny.

39

:

You guys know, Danny,

she's been on the podcast.

40

:

I talk about her all the time.

41

:

So I traveled with her

to Spain, as we all know.

42

:

Kimi and Jordan met us at our hotel

Tuesday night for dinner, and then

43

:

we were gonna go out clubbing.

44

:

That was the first time we met each other.

45

:

Great, hit it off, and we're

like, Okay, we're going to the

46

:

Williams Fan Zone tomorrow.

47

:

Like, let's meet up.

48

:

So we got there early in the morning.

49

:

Kimi and Jordan got there before us and

they were at the front because there

50

:

was going to be a Q and a with the F2,

F3 and F1 Academy driver, Lia Block, if

51

:

you guys don't know F1 Academy, Lia is

the Williams driver and it's so amazing

52

:

and I love her, but anyway, They were

standing at the front for the Q& A while

53

:

Dani and I were taking some pictures,

getting some content, so on and so forth,

54

:

and then we met up with them there.

55

:

Kimi and Jordan went to the Miami

race, and at the Miami race, they

56

:

also had a Williams Fan Zone pop up.

57

:

And the person who was, his name is James.

58

:

Kimi knew the person who

conducts the interviews for the

59

:

drivers at the Williams Fanzone.

60

:

Somehow he was like, bestie.

61

:

Like, I don't remember how she told

us this happened, but he was like, oh,

62

:

you can call me bestie or whatever.

63

:

And if there's one thing about Kimi.

64

:

Kimi, I know you're

listening to this right now.

65

:

She's gonna hold you to what you say.

66

:

James comes up from the steps

and Kimi is like, Hey bestie.

67

:

James whips around and he's

like, who just called me bestie?

68

:

Like, ah, like what is going on?

69

:

So Kimmy's over there like

waving and everything.

70

:

He comes over to us and

he's talking to us.

71

:

And Kimmy's like, Oh, like from Miami.

72

:

This and that, he told

me I can call you bestie.

73

:

We basically tell him, oh yeah,

we're like four American girls who

74

:

traveled to the Spanish Grand Prix.

75

:

And he literally looked at us

and he goes, you guys traveled

76

:

all the way here to Spain?

77

:

Okay, interesting.

78

:

And we're like, yeah, of course we did.

79

:

Of course we did.

80

:

Anything, anything for

Lando Norris, right?

81

:

so anyway, um, he's like, listen,

need you to ask some questions.

82

:

And we said, don't worry,

Bestie, we got you.

83

:

So we're over here.

84

:

We're waiting in line.

85

:

The Williams people are like

talking to us, everything.

86

:

And we're coming up with

questions for everyone and anyone.

87

:

And I think it was Zach who came up to

us first because he was just coming in.

88

:

And we're like, hey, Zach, like

take a picture with us, take a

89

:

picture with us, whatever, la la.

90

:

So he takes a picture with us.

91

:

Oh my God.

92

:

So literally so gorgeous.

93

:

But anyway, we were like, Oh

my God, like, that's awesome.

94

:

Cause we didn't think we were going

to meet anyone to be honest with you.

95

:

We just were like, we're here

for the Q and a, we hope our

96

:

questions get asked or whatever.

97

:

James comes back up and we're like,

Oh, like bestie, like, look at our

98

:

questions, like, are these approved?

99

:

Just chatting, being ourselves, talking

with him, which then, you know, We ended

100

:

up talking to everyone on the staff.

101

:

They basically knew who we were.

102

:

And the one great thing is that James

was really in the Williams team.

103

:

I do have to say it wasn't just

James, James and the Williams team

104

:

were really looking out for us.

105

:

They were really making sure that

we were taken care of and that our

106

:

questions were answered because Kimi

and I were able to ask our questions.

107

:

I asked one to Lia Block, which

you guys can find on my Instagram.

108

:

And then Kimi asked one, I

think it was to Franco and Zak.

109

:

It was just so cool because James,

whenever he saw the mic get to

110

:

us, he did like this head nod.

111

:

And when I tell you, we all died laughing.

112

:

We died laughing.

113

:

Like it was, it was so funny.

114

:

And at one point before he went on

stage, Kimmy had told us being like,

115

:

Oh, like ask for his, ask for his

no car, like ask if you can keep it.

116

:

Knowing me, I'm going to ask that.

117

:

Right.

118

:

So I go bestie.

119

:

Can you give us one of

your notecards to keep?

120

:

And he goes, well then you

would know all my secrets.

121

:

And I was like, damn, I

just want a notecard, man.

122

:

Like, you know, like, things like that.

123

:

Like, we were joking with James, we

were joking with the staff, and they

124

:

just made sure we were taken care of and

that we were able to ask our questions.

125

:

And then we were the first people

able to meet, like, all the drivers.

126

:

So we met Leah, we met Luke,

now, I'm gonna be honest.

127

:

I didn't know who Luke was before

this but now I definitely do,

128

:

because Luke stares into your soul.

129

:

He has the most piercing eyes,

and oh my god, are they gorgeous.

130

:

And I, I literally I think I forgot

what I was saying, because Luke looked

131

:

at me and I was like, oh my god.

132

:

I was like, I couldn't,

I, I was in a trance.

133

:

And even when we left, I was in a trance.

134

:

I was in a trance so much that the only

driver card I didn't get was from Luke.

135

:

Because his eyes just

distracted me so much, you guys.

136

:

Like, it was, it was so bad.

137

:

But, anyway, that happens.

138

:

We walk out, we get lunch, we come

back, we're doing the sim racing,

139

:

we spend the whole day there.

140

:

And that was our plan from the beginning,

because we wanted to see Logan.

141

:

We wanted to go to the

Q& A later that evening.

142

:

So then, at this point.

143

:

Danny and I had done the reaction time,

and Kimi had interviewed James for her

144

:

vlog, and James had said something about

like, Oh, are you guys gonna see Logan?

145

:

Are you guys waiting around for him?

146

:

And Kimmy had said like, duh,

like, he's our American bestie.

147

:

Like, of course we are.

148

:

He's like, oh, yeah, yeah, cool, cool.

149

:

And so she told us about that

when she came back, and we were

150

:

like, that's like low key kind of

strange, like, he said that, right?

151

:

The vibe was, that was interesting, right?

152

:

But whatever, we're like, okay, like,

let's go and stand at our spot, like,

153

:

let's dominate our area, so we're ready

for Logan and we're just gonna stay there.

154

:

So, Ed, one of the head honchos at

Williams, he like, comes up to us,

155

:

like, he makes a clean line for us

and kind of like distracts us from

156

:

our path of where we were going.

157

:

And he was like, Hey, like, have you

guys like checked on the app yet?

158

:

If you're going to meet Logan and we're

like, Oh, like we didn't even know,

159

:

like it was announced yet on the app.

160

:

But we'll go look.

161

:

So then each of us, one by one,

we go, look, we're not winners.

162

:

We're not winners.

163

:

We're not winners.

164

:

We're not winners.

165

:

And it's like, Oh man,

like, Hmm, that's so sad.

166

:

Like, come follow me, and at that moment.

167

:

I knew that we were going

to meet Logan Sargent.

168

:

I knew it in my bones.

169

:

I was like, there is no way that we

are not, like, meeting Logan of some

170

:

sorts, or even if he's just, signing

something for us, you know, Something is

171

:

happening, there's just no way, right?

172

:

Everything was perfectly aligning.

173

:

Then Ed pulls out the lanyards.

174

:

And he goes, congrats, you guys won.

175

:

You're meeting Logan.

176

:

What?

177

:

Kid you not, all four of us I really

truly thought all of us were going to cry.

178

:

And I thought Ed was going

to be like, what is going on?

179

:

But like, we all got so

emotional and like giddy.

180

:

And we were like, oh my God, like what?

181

:

Like, thank you so much.

182

:

Like, that's so crazy.

183

:

Like, are you joking?

184

:

And he was basically like, we

see you guys, we appreciate

185

:

you, like, here's a token.

186

:

And it was just like, it was the

nicest thing ever, and just like such a

187

:

unbelievably like sweet moment of wow,

like kindness really does go a long way.

188

:

And I am such a firm believer that James

definitely had a part in us meeting Logan.

189

:

That's why I say kindness goes such a

long way, and being nice, and staying true

190

:

to who you are, because the whole time

we were interacting with James, and we

191

:

were interacting with the Williams team.

192

:

We were just being ourselves.

193

:

We weren't trying to be anyone else.

194

:

We were just having a good time because

the Williams fans, it was so much

195

:

fun and we also felt so safe and so

comfortable and that's not something

196

:

I say lightly because as a female

in the F1 space, oh, let me tell you

197

:

guys, sometimes it doesn't feel safe.

198

:

Sometimes it doesn't feel comfortable.

199

:

At the Williams event, we truly felt

like we didn't want to do anything

200

:

else except stay there because

we felt so safe and comfortable.

201

:

The Williams team Created such a

nurturing Environment for us to be in

202

:

and to like just have a good time and

that's so rare and it was so special.

203

:

But going back to the story

It is like, don't tell anyone.

204

:

Mind you, I'm telling everyone here on

the internet, but it's past so many.

205

:

So I feel like, I feel like it's fair

to share this amazing interaction

206

:

with the Williams team and Logan.

207

:

But anyway, we then proceed after

he told us not to tell anyone.

208

:

We all called our parents.

209

:

I called my mom.

210

:

If you guys don't know

this, my mom loves Logan.

211

:

She is a huge Logan fan.

212

:

And let me tell you when I

said, mom, I'm meeting Logan.

213

:

The first thing she told me to tell him.

214

:

Please tell him that

I think he's adorable.

215

:

I shit you not, you guys.

216

:

that is what my mom wanted

me to tell Logan from her.

217

:

So I did, and we'll

get to that eventually.

218

:

Logan comes out for the Q& A, and we're

still gonna try to ask a question or

219

:

two, because, you know, our bestie

James asked us to ask a question,

220

:

so we're gonna look out for him.

221

:

So I go, I raise my hand

and this one's really funny.

222

:

Now, I'm a very, very, very short girl.

223

:

I'm 4'11 okay?

224

:

The people in front of me?

225

:

Tall.

226

:

They were very, very tall.

227

:

Logan and James definitely

could not see me.

228

:

And the spotlight definitely

did not know where to go.

229

:

So I was saying my first two words

of my question and all I feel are two

230

:

arms around my waist lifting me up.

231

:

And in that moment I was like,

Oh, Kimi's lifting me up so

232

:

Logan and James can see me.

233

:

And when she did that, I have the

video you guys, I have to share it

234

:

because it is the funniest thing

ever because you can tell Logan

235

:

and James are trying not to laugh.

236

:

Is darkness to light because

then I felt like I could find

237

:

me because Kimmy picked me up.

238

:

When I was done asking my

question, she just plopped me

239

:

down and I asked her afterwards.

240

:

I was like, Kimmy, like,

what did you think?

241

:

And she goes, honestly,

I didn't think anything.

242

:

I just did it.

243

:

I was like, what an icon,

like literally what an icon.

244

:

But you know, Logan answered my question.

245

:

Kimmy was able to ask hers and he

answered and then it was time to meet.

246

:

And oh my god, you guys.

247

:

I was the third one in

our group to meet Logan.

248

:

And Kimmy was the first one.

249

:

It was Kimmy, Jordan,

myself, and then Dani.

250

:

And Kimmy went first, and from

my question, I had said as a

251

:

fellow Floridian, whatever.

252

:

So he knew I, like, He knew I was from

Florida, but I guess Kimmy had said

253

:

something when she was interacting with

him that we're all from America, and he

254

:

goes, Are you guys all from Florida?

255

:

And we're like, No.

256

:

We just like went one by one, like up

the stairs, saying where we're from.

257

:

And I could physically see Logan

trying not to laugh at us because

258

:

it was honestly kind of funny.

259

:

Then it got time for me to meet Logan.

260

:

And I low key think I blocked out.

261

:

Because all I remember being was like,

Hi Logan, like it is so nice to meet you.

262

:

So sorry about the question.

263

:

Because I asked him about the Florida

Panthers if they were going to win the

264

:

Stanley Cup and he was like, oh you're

getting me nervous, like this and that.

265

:

Because you know, we don't

want to jinx anything here.

266

:

But I was like, I have to ask you

because my dad and I love you,

267

:

my mom thinks you're adorable.

268

:

And Logan's over here

asking me, how was my trip?

269

:

Am I having a good weekend?

270

:

How am I doing?

271

:

And Like, he's genuinely asking me

questions like he cares about me.

272

:

Logan is the nicest human being alive.

273

:

He's asking me questions about myself.

274

:

I answered him because

Danny told me I said words.

275

:

And if Danny said that words came out of

my mouth and that I looked natural and

276

:

cool, calm and collective, I believe her.

277

:

I believe her.

278

:

I took my picture with Logan.

279

:

And then the last thing I said before

I like ran off was we're rooting

280

:

for you, Logan, like, we love you.

281

:

And he was like thank you so much.

282

:

Like, thank you.

283

:

And I know that like meant a lot to him.

284

:

If I was able to meet anyone

Besides Lando, I'm very glad that

285

:

I was able to meet Logan because

Logan he's our American bestie.

286

:

He is the definition

of the American dream.

287

:

He literally is chasing

his dreams and doing it.

288

:

Logan Sargent is one of the

sweetest human beings alive.

289

:

And I truly, truly, truly hope that he

gets everything he wants in life and more.

290

:

I was always rooting for Logan.

291

:

But now after meeting him,

I'm even more of a Logan fan.

292

:

And I'm also more of a Williams fan.

293

:

I truly think the reason why we were able

to meet as many people as we did that day

294

:

and experience as many, Things as we did

that day was because of how we were to

295

:

the Williams team and to James and it was

because we just wanted to talk and get to

296

:

know them and it truly just shows you that

kindness and being nice and just staying

297

:

true to who you are can go such a long way

and it will always reward you in the end.

298

:

Let's talk about the second one, shall we?

299

:

There are still good people in the

world that truly care about others.

300

:

Now Thursday was pit lane walk.

301

:

Let's talk about what happened afterwards.

302

:

So Danny and I knew That Thursday

was always going to be a day

303

:

where we were going to need

to figure out transportation.

304

:

That's because Friday through Sunday,

we had gotten these bus tickets that

305

:

basically take you to and from the

track from Barcelona, so right where

306

:

we were staying, like our hotel to the

circuit and back and we're like, okay,

307

:

great The only day it doesn't cover is

thursday because that's like a special

308

:

event So we just need to figure it out.

309

:

So we're gonna take a taxi there or

an uber and then like coming back.

310

:

We'll probably take a taxi

and we're back, right?

311

:

We were wrong.

312

:

We were so wrong Oh my god, you

guys we literally got stranded.

313

:

We're leaving the circuit We are hungry

because we didn't eat a meal beforehand.

314

:

That was very dumb on our parts

I do admit we should have ate

315

:

beforehand, but we didn't.

316

:

We were very dizzy because we didn't eat.

317

:

So we were hungry, we were dizzy,

we were a little disoriented, and

318

:

we were like, at least we'll be

able to grab a taxi at least right?

319

:

No, no, none of the taxis were picking

up at the hotel behind the circuit, so

320

:

we're like, okay, like, that's, that's,

That's fine, like, that's, that's fine.

321

:

I met up with some friends that I knew

from LinkedIn, and they were like,

322

:

hey, like, we're walking to the bus

that will take us to the train station,

323

:

like, we can just all walk together.

324

:

I was like, okay, like, great.

325

:

that's fine.

326

:

That's perfect.

327

:

Like, at least we're in a group and these

people know where they're going, right?

328

:

The bus never comes.

329

:

And the group that we were with

was like, oh, like, we're going

330

:

to eat at this restaurant and

then maybe we'll go an Uber.

331

:

Danny and I already had plans

to meet our other friend,

332

:

Noelle, for dinner in the city.

333

:

So we're like, you know what?

334

:

Like, it's fine.

335

:

We are going to just walk

to the train station.

336

:

It's a 30 minute walk.

337

:

that's fine.

338

:

In Spain, you have to walk everywhere.

339

:

It's like New York City.

340

:

So we were like, that's literally nothing.

341

:

And then, like, maybe by the time we walk

far away from the circuit, will be a taxi

342

:

or an Uber, like, we can pick up, right?

343

:

That's what we thought.

344

:

That was wishful thinking on our part.

345

:

So, anyway, we say bye to my friends,

we're walking to the train station, and

346

:

then we're far enough, we're like, oh,

like, let's call, a taxi or an Uber.

347

:

Like, okay, like, we'll connect

you in, like, five minutes.

348

:

The Uber then cancels on us.

349

:

can't connect you with

any drivers in the area.

350

:

Okay, great.

351

:

We try to do it again.

352

:

No drivers in the area.

353

:

We're like, okay, well, we're going

to have to take this train that

354

:

we don't know how to read the map.

355

:

That's fine.

356

:

We'll figure it out.

357

:

Danny and I together at least

have one brain cell individually.

358

:

And then together we make one actual

brain that can produce an actual thought.

359

:

Well, that didn't happen that day

because we go to the train station.

360

:

We get two tickets.

361

:

We go down to the platform.

362

:

We look at the map and I swear to

God, you guys, I looked at it and

363

:

I said, hmm, my mom was right.

364

:

And if you guys don't know this, my

mom usually is right about everything.

365

:

And she had told me before I left that

the train in Barcelona is so confusing.

366

:

And I thought she meant

the high speed train.

367

:

I was like, that's not confusing.

368

:

It was so easy getting

from Madrid to Barcelona.

369

:

No, no, no, no, no.

370

:

My mother meant the metro.

371

:

Yeah, that thing that we

couldn't read the map for.

372

:

That's exactly what my

mom was talking about.

373

:

And in that moment, I knew I was

screwed and I knew my mother was right.

374

:

And I was like, Oh shit.

375

:

Well, I hope Danny can understand this.

376

:

She didn't.

377

:

We could not put our one individual

brain cell that we each carry

378

:

to have one coherent thought.

379

:

So I was like, okay, well, we're

going to have to ask someone.

380

:

So I was like let me ask this

guy that keeps staring at me.

381

:

Maybe he can help.

382

:

I go up to him.

383

:

I'm like, do you speak English?

384

:

No, do you speak Spanish?

385

:

And for you guys, I don't know.

386

:

I'm half Cuban.

387

:

I know one sentence that

always ends up helping me out.

388

:

It's yo no hablo mucho

espanol, pero el entiendo.

389

:

Mi mama es cubana.

390

:

Basically, I said I don't speak

much Spanish, but I understand

391

:

it and my mom is Cuban.

392

:

And usually, that helps me out, because

I truly can understand the majority of

393

:

what people are telling me in Spanish,

and then I can piece it together.

394

:

Nope, I did not understand

anything this guy told me.

395

:

I thought he said there were

no more trains in Barcelona,

396

:

and I was about to sob.

397

:

I told him, thank you.

398

:

I went to Danny and I

said, we are screwed.

399

:

We need to keep walking on this

platform to find someone else because

400

:

I think that guy just told me there's

no more trains going into Barcelona.

401

:

We're walking down the platform, I'm

trying not to sob, I was very close you

402

:

guys, and I see a guy in Formula 1 merch.

403

:

I said, you know what?

404

:

Let me ask him.

405

:

Let's just try, right?

406

:

Danny and I are dressed up like, I'm a

walking billboard for Lando Norris, she's

407

:

a walking billboard for Charlotte Clare.

408

:

at least this guy knows

we're all here for Formula 1.

409

:

I go up to the guy, I think he could

sense that I was about to sob because

410

:

I was like, do you speak English?

411

:

Spanish?

412

:

Help me.

413

:

He goes, I speak English.

414

:

So then he helped me and

basically told Danny and I that

415

:

we need to go to Barcelona.

416

:

It's going to say it on the top.

417

:

We just need to look at these signs and

then within it, like within the train,

418

:

There'll be like little things that say,

Hey, like this is the stop in Barcelona,

419

:

but there's multiple stops in Barcelona.

420

:

So we have to know which

ones we need to go to.

421

:

And I guess the only words Danny and

I could say were Sagrada Familia.

422

:

Newsflash.

423

:

That's not a stop, but anyway, so the

guy sees that we are like a mess, right?

424

:

And he goes sit with me.

425

:

He moves his stuff.

426

:

He has a sit with him on the bench

and he's like talking to us, and he's

427

:

telling us how he's from North Spain

and he takes this train all the time

428

:

and it's okay, like this and this.

429

:

And he goes, I'll make sure you

guys get on the right train.

430

:

The train comes and he

goes, this is your train.

431

:

And I thought he was just going to

be like, okay, this is your train.

432

:

And then you'll look at what stopped.

433

:

No, no, no, no.

434

:

He went on the train with us and sat

with us, even though it wasn't his train.

435

:

There are angels, everyone,

because that guy, what a blessing.

436

:

Cause thank you.

437

:

God, that someone was looking out for us.

438

:

Multiple people, I should say.

439

:

Cause there's multiple

people in this story.

440

:

But that first angel, he

saved us because he didn't have

441

:

to go on that train with us.

442

:

He didn't have to sit with us, but he did.

443

:

He like missed his train, you guys

to go with us, to sit with us on

444

:

this train and make sure that we

were okay and got there safely to

445

:

whatever station we needed to go to.

446

:

So anyway, we're on the

train, he's talking to us.

447

:

He's like, okay, so

what stop in Barcelona?

448

:

And all Danny and I can say is

Sagrada Familia, Sagrada Familia.

449

:

And he's like, that's, that's not a stop.

450

:

what's the stop for Sagrada Familia?

451

:

Like what's the station?

452

:

And we're like, you'll not say.

453

:

Oh my god.

454

:

So he tries to look it up.

455

:

There's no service.

456

:

So then he asks everyone else in

the train, and he basically points

457

:

at us and says, These two girls

need to go to Sagrada Familia.

458

:

What stop do they get off on?

459

:

And so everyone's conversing,

and I'm just like, Lord, help me.

460

:

Please, Lord, help me.

461

:

They finally, everyone on the train

comes to the consensus that we need

462

:

to get off on the next stop and

get the connecting train to L2,

463

:

the purple line, and go down, okay?

464

:

It's very important that we remember

he told us to go down, we did the

465

:

hand motion, and so he's telling

us all this and everything and he

466

:

goes, you'll be okay, like it's

okay, you go down the stairs and

467

:

you'll take the L2, the purple train.

468

:

Perfect!

469

:

We got that, right?

470

:

We get off, we thank him.

471

:

I see this guy from the train that was

in the conversation about the Sagrada

472

:

Familia stop, and he's like staring at us.

473

:

And then I'm like, oh, maybe he's

staring because my shorts are

474

:

so short and like maybe that's

why he's staring at us, right?

475

:

Danny and I are trying to find

these stairs that go down and

476

:

there's only stairs that go up.

477

:

So I was like, we can't find stairs

that go down, let's go on these stairs

478

:

that go up and see if there's a sign.

479

:

So we go on the stairs up and there's

like, you can turn left or turn right.

480

:

We go left, right?

481

:

We're reading the sign and all of a

sudden we turn around and there's a

482

:

security guard and the security guard

goes, Sagrada Familia, and all Danny and

483

:

I did was shake our head up and down.

484

:

We followed the security guard.

485

:

The security guard then goes to the

turnstiles, and I see the guy who was

486

:

on the train in that conversation about

Sagrada Familia stop, the one that was

487

:

staring at me, everything, and I thought,

oh, he's just staring because of my

488

:

shorts, no, no, no, no, no, no, he was

staring because he was looking out for

489

:

us, being like, where are these two dumb

American girls in Formula 1 merch going?

490

:

So he told the security guard

to look out for two girls.

491

:

in Formula 1, which was the

training with the Sagrada Familia.

492

:

Basically, their conversation,

he's like, Is this them?

493

:

Yes, it is.

494

:

I'll take them to their station.

495

:

These two men were looking out for

us also, and I was like, Oh my god,

496

:

like, they're actually our good men

in the world, because if we were

497

:

in America, no, no, absolutely not.

498

:

We would have not, we would not

be here to tell the tale, okay?

499

:

The security guard like

overrides us going through.

500

:

The door almost closes on Danny, whatever.

501

:

We're like, okay, whatever.

502

:

Like it can't get worse.

503

:

Right?

504

:

he walks us all the way to where we have

to go to the Nethertern style and we

505

:

like put our tickets in, they don't work.

506

:

We have to buy another one.

507

:

So the guy waits with us when we

buy another ticket, we go through,

508

:

put our tickets in, they work.

509

:

And he literally walks us to our platform.

510

:

He goes, this is your train.

511

:

There are two stops before yours.

512

:

We get on the train.

513

:

I have felt pretty safe throughout

my entire trip until I got

514

:

into that metro specifically.

515

:

And I was like, oh wow.

516

:

Yep, nope, I'm so glad

there are only two stops.

517

:

I'm going to hold my breath and

hold my phone with so much strength

518

:

that someone's going to have to

physically rip it out of my hands.

519

:

we're about to get to our stop,

and this guy like falls into Danny,

520

:

and all I remember my dad telling

me is that people will create

521

:

distractions to pit pocket you.

522

:

And I was like, oh my god,

we're getting pit pocketed.

523

:

Like this is the distraction.

524

:

But the good thing about how Danny and

I were standing is that she could see

525

:

behind me and I could see behind her.

526

:

We were not getting pit pocketed.

527

:

I guess the guy just

like fell or whatever.

528

:

But at that moment I was like,

of course this would happen to us.

529

:

The doors open We never looked faster

a train station in our lives It was

530

:

beautiful when we saw the sagrada

familia at the top of the steps.

531

:

We said thank you god Where can I put my

donation so, there are still good people

532

:

in the world that truly care about others.

533

:

Those three angels, the first guy

in Formula One merch, the security

534

:

guard, and the guy who walked

us to our platform, if you are

535

:

listening to my podcast, Thank you.

536

:

Thank you for being good people

in this world, because my

537

:

faith in humanity is restored.

538

:

My third lesson for you guys is

you belong in rooms for a reason.

539

:

Your name is brought in conversation

because you are meant to be there.

540

:

Even if it's not the path or way

you thought it would be it ends

541

:

up the way it's supposed to.

542

:

Your work and what you do is

special and it's getting recognized.

543

:

So enjoy it.

544

:

You belong here.

545

:

One of the coolest parts of my

trip was I was invited to Sunset

546

:

Sessions for Off to the Races.

547

:

So basically, Alexandra is the

founder of Off to the Races, and

548

:

she has group trips to certain Grand

Prixs, and she plans everything to

549

:

the T, to meals, to transportation,

to fun activities, like she does it

550

:

all, and she's literally amazing.

551

:

And so for the Spanish Grand Prix trip,

she had a sunset session, which was at the

552

:

rooftop of this really, really nice hotel

where you were overlooking Barcelona.

553

:

And not only were people that obviously

were a part of her Spanish Grand Prix trip

554

:

but also she invited F1 content creators.

555

:

And I was one of the content

creators that was invited to it.

556

:

It was the first F1 content creation

event that I've been invited to

557

:

personally and it was one of the

coolest and nicest things I've

558

:

ever been invited to in my life.

559

:

I remember Walking out of the elevator

with Jordan being like oh my God and

560

:

like looking around at everyone who was

invited and You guys, when I tell you

561

:

some of the biggest names in F1 TikTok

were there, I was literally on the inside,

562

:

I was freaking out because I was like,

how the heck is my name in the same type

563

:

of vicinity as everyone who is here.

564

:

It was so so surreal and so so

cool because I'm like literally

565

:

here in an orange little two piece

outfit with my Lando Norris nails.

566

:

Shout out to Katie from

Race Tips for them.

567

:

They are amazing.

568

:

And I will link it in

the show notes below.

569

:

But like there I am in my little

like two piece orange outfit with my

570

:

Lando nails, my little Lando necklace

being like, I'm literally just a girl

571

:

loves to watch the cars go vroom.

572

:

And she's here on the rooftop overlooking

Barcelona with some of the biggest names

573

:

in f1 social media content creation.

574

:

It's so wild to me because I'm in

this own little bubble of like my

575

:

content creation for formula one.

576

:

And I don't really think anything of it.

577

:

I'm like, Oh, like I do it for fun.

578

:

And I, I do it to create

conversation and talk about

579

:

the things I want to talk about.

580

:

Truly a moment where I really had to

take in everything and be like a minute

581

:

like you worked so hard for it And here

it is like here is the physical proof

582

:

of Everything you've worked for and

said that you're going to do like you

583

:

are doing it And I know I talk a lot

about being delusional and manifesting

584

:

your dreams It And that was a moment

for me where I really did that, you

585

:

know, like I really, truly did that.

586

:

I had to keep reminding myself that

I belong here and that the future

587

:

just is going to get bigger and

brighter and that I'm ready for it.

588

:

And that any room that my name is brought

up in any room that I walk into, I am

589

:

there for a reason because I belong there.

590

:

Even if I don't think I should be

there, I am supposed to be there.

591

:

There is a reason why.

592

:

And I know that the reason why I was

there, In Barcelona was not only to

593

:

meet all the amazing people that I

met, and to finally meet Alexandra

594

:

in person because I've been dying

to meet her in person, but also to

595

:

prove to myself that I really am doing

everything that I said I was going to do.

596

:

And more, and that the world better

watch out for me because I'm not

597

:

going to stop, and I'm really

excited and I'm really happy that

598

:

I get to share that with you guys.

599

:

Let's talk about number four, okay?

600

:

if you have a chance to party

with the Dutch army, do it.

601

:

Let me tell you when we bought

our tickets back in January We did

602

:

not know that we bought tickets

in the Max Verstappen grandstand.

603

:

Us three are Logan Sargent and Charles

Leclerc and Lando Norris, fangirls, okay?

604

:

Us in the Max Verstappen section wouldn't

have been our first choice, but oh my

605

:

god, you guys, I didn't know how much

I needed to experience that in my life.

606

:

The DJ was amazing that dj should have

been there when all of us were looking

607

:

to go somewhere on tuesday night Because

he knew what was up and the dutch know

608

:

how to throw a good party like we were

partying for an hour before qualifying

609

:

and then we were partying an hour

before the actual race on sunday Like

610

:

oh my god, and they were so inviting

and We were the very front row right

611

:

in front of the dj And on Saturday, not

everyone was rowdy, and that's okay.

612

:

But there was something in Danny, Noelle,

and I that made us be like, You know what?

613

:

Let's be the loud, obnoxious Americans.

614

:

Because after and during every song, not

only were we singing and dancing in our

615

:

seats, but we would be cheering on the DJ.

616

:

And yep, they definitely could

tell we were Americans.

617

:

They definitely were enjoying it.

618

:

I know the DJ was loving us

because we were really, we

619

:

were really helping him out.

620

:

Like we really did him, we did him

a solid by cheering him on, but we

621

:

provided entertainment for everyone.

622

:

We were blessing everyone with

our amazing, amazing dance

623

:

moves and obnoxious singing.

624

:

At one point he literally was like

all the women in motor sports,

625

:

like all the women fans, like,

please stand up, please stand up.

626

:

And then he points directly at

us and he goes, please stand up.

627

:

I'm not gonna deny the DJ of that.

628

:

So I stood up and did the macare.

629

:

You guys, I know for a fact that dani

and I are definitely, definitely on Red

630

:

Bull's and F1's social media channels.

631

:

And if they're not on there yet, they

will be on there soon because there are

632

:

multiple cameras pointed directly at us.

633

:

And in our faces, specifically

during the Max Verstappen song.

634

:

Let me tell you, Danny and I, I'm

a walking billboard again for Lando

635

:

Norris, so I'm in Lando Norris gear.

636

:

Danny's a walking billboard

for Charles Leclerc.

637

:

It's Charles Leclerc and Ferrari here,

and we're over here screaming, singing.

638

:

Do do do, Max Verstappen, do do do.

639

:

Like, literally, F1 media, right there,

right in our faces, while we were,

640

:

while we were doing that, dressed in

Lando and Charles Leclerc gear if

641

:

we're not on any type of promo, I

don't know what's wrong with the world,

642

:

because we honestly were delivering

free entertainment for everyone.

643

:

But yeah, if you have a chance to party

with the Dutch Army, please do it.

644

:

It needs to be on your

bucket list like pronto.

645

:

The next one, you guys, okay?

646

:

Podium runs will kill you.

647

:

Don't do them.

648

:

Don't ever do a podium run.

649

:

You will die.

650

:

Or fall into a tire, like I did.

651

:

Our little group were

ready for this podium run.

652

:

We got to the gate.

653

:

We executed our plan perfectly.

654

:

Kimi is prepping me saying,

listen, Amanda, you need to run.

655

:

You may get trampled, you need to

prepare, stand your ground, and run.

656

:

Like, you've never run

before in your life.

657

:

And I said, okay, bet,

like, how bad could it be?

658

:

And I was nervous, okay?

659

:

Like, I was.

660

:

I was like I'm not a runner.

661

:

But you know what?

662

:

I will run for Lando Norris.

663

:

Because Lando was going

to be on the podium.

664

:

I was like, okay, great.

665

:

Like, I'm, I'll be fine.

666

:

No.

667

:

I was not fine.

668

:

My body was fully facing

front to the gate.

669

:

All of a sudden, they open the

gate, my body gets turned around,

670

:

360, , I'm pushed against the fence.

671

:

My hand is grabbing the fence.

672

:

My nail is low key getting stuck.

673

:

One of my legs is slipping down

the step on the gravel almost.

674

:

I'm about to do a split and then I'm like,

oh my god I'm gonna get trampled because

675

:

I also lost my balance at that point.

676

:

Kimmy By the grace of

God again, saves me.

677

:

I don't know how she did this.

678

:

She turns me around, and all I hear

after that is, Run, Amanda,, don't run!

679

:

And she's running.

680

:

I don't know where Jordan went.

681

:

Don't know where Cynthia went.

682

:

All I see is Kimmy running

and her telling me run.

683

:

So I'm running, right?

684

:

I'm running like I'm

about to get Olympic gold.

685

:

Somehow I get next to Kimmy.

686

:

We'll never, ever do that again.

687

:

The podium is finished.

688

:

We're like, okay, let's

try to get out, right?

689

:

Because there's one exit

to get out of Crown Inn.

690

:

. We will never make it out

because we're also trying to meet

691

:

the drivers, right, you guys?

692

:

Cynthia and Kimmy were like,

let's jump the tire wall.

693

:

Again, I'm 4'11 and wearing the

shortest shorts known to man.

694

:

And I said, one, I can't reach it.

695

:

And two, I'm not wearing

appropriate clothing.

696

:

Cynthia goes, okay, let me

tie my sweatshirt around you.

697

:

That solves one of the problems.

698

:

And then put your foot in it.

699

:

In my hand, I used to be a cheerleader

and I'll just like push you up.

700

:

I said, okay Dumb.

701

:

I'm so dumb.

702

:

Cynthia hoists me up half of my

body Is on the flat part of the

703

:

tire the other half of my body.

704

:

Guess what guys is in the hole of the

tire so half of my body is inside the

705

:

tire Kimmy is already on the other

side and she turns around she goes, if

706

:

your full body was in it, I would have

helped you after I'd taken a picture.

707

:

And I said, thank you so much, Kimmy.

708

:

Get the rest of my body outside

of that tire, crawl to the end.

709

:

And I was like, Kimmy, I can't get down.

710

:

Like this is too tall for me.

711

:

She picks me up like a child

and places me on the floor.

712

:

I said never again, never

again will I do a podium run.

713

:

I've experienced it once and

I will never ever do it again.

714

:

My last lesson, you guys.

715

:

Everything happens at the

right time at the right moment.

716

:

Just because it hasn't happened

yet doesn't mean it won't.

717

:

It just means it's not

the right time right now.

718

:

This solely relates to the saga

of me only seeing Lando for 0.

719

:

2 seconds.

720

:

As we all know, I love Lando Norris.

721

:

He's my favorite driver.

722

:

I don't think that's a surprise

to anyone on this planet.

723

:

I am, again, a a walking

billboard for him.

724

:

And I have no regrets in that.

725

:

I truly, truly do not.

726

:

Does it sting just a little?

727

:

Just a little.

728

:

That every time there was a chance

of me either seeing or meeting Lando,

729

:

it just didn't happen, of course.

730

:

of course that's a little

like, man, , it sucks.

731

:

It does, but I take it as it is

not the right time for me to lay

732

:

eyes on Lando for more than 0.

733

:

2 seconds, or to meet him.

734

:

It's going to happen when it is the

right time, when it's supposed to happen,

735

:

at the perfect moment in my story.

736

:

And when it does happen, lord help us all.

737

:

I will not shut up about it.

738

:

I will talk about it.

739

:

Every day, until the day I die, basically.

740

:

I know I will.

741

:

I know I will.

742

:

I will be insufferable.

743

:

Those are my lessons from

the Spanish Grand Prix.

744

:

Alright Radiant Icons, that is

your Tea Time Sesh for today.

745

:

I know it was a little bit of everywhere,

I know it was chaotic, I know it was

746

:

unhinged, but you know what, that was

my trip to the Spanish Grand Prix.

747

:

It was a little bit of

everything and more.

748

:

And I spilled all that tonight.

749

:

And I'm very proud to say that I lived

to tell the tale, because on Thursday

750

:

I definitely Definitely didn't think I

would be here doing this podcast episode.

751

:

I was very scared, you guys.

752

:

I was very, very scared and terrified.

753

:

But you know what?

754

:

We're here.

755

:

We are here, and there are angels,

and my faith in humanity is restored.

756

:

My trip to the Spanish Grand Prix

was a once in a lifetime trip that

757

:

I genuinely will never forget.

758

:

I think it is so cool to say, or even

to have the privilege to say, I was able

759

:

to travel to Spain, and I was able to,

on top of going to another country and

760

:

experiencing a different culture and

a different environment and different

761

:

foods, but to go to the Spanish Grand

Prix, a sporting event that I have

762

:

created such a community around, like

the F1 community, and a sport that I talk

763

:

about a lot, that I love so much, and

being able to have these pockets of just

764

:

amazing experiences, like meeting Logan

Sargent, meeting bestie James, talking

765

:

to Lia Block, seeing Lando Norris for 0.

766

:

2 seconds, and having a positive

mindset on that whole Lando situation

767

:

because Amanda a year ago, Amanda

two years ago, would have never met

768

:

automatically been like, you know what?

769

:

It's okay that I didn't meet my

favorite driver and that I didn't see

770

:

him for longer than I did I would have

never said that two years ago a year

771

:

ago Like I never would have had that

positive mindset of being like it's

772

:

not the right time right now And it

will happen when it's meant to happen.

773

:

I would have never said that and

just to see the growth of who I've

774

:

come into, like this beautiful,

strong, iconic version of myself.

775

:

And to see it further develop in

life in different situations and

776

:

scenarios is really, really cool.

777

:

I hope that what you can take

from this very chaotic and

778

:

unhinged episode Is the lessons.

779

:

these lessons are universal.

780

:

They don't just apply to my trip to the

Spanish Grand Prix, but being kind and

781

:

staying true to you and you belong in

these rooms, even if you don't think

782

:

you do, or it's not the right time

right now, but when it is, it will be

783

:

the right time at the right moment.

784

:

And it will perfectly align for you.

785

:

These universal lessons that I was able

to apply to specific scenarios on my trip.

786

:

I just hope you guys are able to

take these lessons and apply them to

787

:

scenarios in your life or situations

that have happened and are able

788

:

to reflect and take a step back

and be like, Oh, you know what?

789

:

Yes.

790

:

Like that's how I want to look at it.

791

:

That's how I should look

at it from here on out.

792

:

I hope that sharing what I've learned

and the stories of everything that

793

:

has happened that you guys are able

to take pockets of it and apply it

794

:

to your own life and continue to dare

to be iconic in your own unique way

795

:

because we are daring to be ourselves.

796

:

Okay, I'm done.

797

:

I will see you guys next week where I

answer all your questions about my trip

798

:

to Spain and any Spanish Grand Prix tea

that I did not spill in this episode.

799

:

Because I know there are probably

stories that I didn't tell.

800

:

I'll see you guys next week.

801

:

Remember, radiant icons dare to be iconic.
