What's up, radiant icons, and welcome back to Dare To
2
:Be Iconic, the podcast made for icons
who are daring to be themselves.
3
:I'm your host, Amanda Paolicelli,
and well for today's tea time
4
:sesh, we're doing a little reset.
5
:It's time for your iconic summer
reset guide so you can learn how to
6
:heal, thrive, and shine this summer.
7
:Because honestly, sometimes
all we need is a little reset.
8
:And you know what?
9
:I needed one.
10
:I have been in desperate need
for a summer reset, so I thought,
11
:why don't we do it together?
12
:Because I know I'm not the only
one who is struggling right
13
:now, or at least I hope not.
14
:But anyway, before we spill the tea
on how you can heal, thrive, and shine
15
:this summer, make sure to connect with
me on socials, on Instagram and TikTok.
16
:It's @amandapaolicelli_
and @daretobeiconic_.
17
:And if you're on LinkedIn radiant icons,
you already know what I'm gonna say.
18
:Make sure to connect with me on there.
19
:It's Amanda Paolicelli.
20
:All of my socials are linked
in the show notes below.
21
:You know what, radiant icons, this episode
has been maybe one of the most challenging
22
:episodes because I'm trying to get every
word perfect and right for you guys.
23
:But the reality of the situation
is there's nothing perfect
24
:about this entire thing.
25
:I haven't been okay recently.
26
:I've been struggling.
27
:I haven't felt like myself.
28
:And it wasn't until the last
two weeks of June where I
29
:truly felt my spark come back.
30
:I felt motivated again.
31
:I felt my brain on fire.
32
:I felt alive in the best possible way.
33
:And now while I've hit record, I
somehow cannot come up with the
34
:words, even though I've prepped for
this episode because you know me.
35
:I love a good plan.
36
:I love some good preparation, but damn,
the words are not wording right now.
37
:The honest fact of this is I stopped
living by my intention, and maybe I'm
38
:embarrassed because that's something that
I believe so strongly in is intentional
39
:living in order to live your most
iconic life, and to let that word of
40
:the year guide you in every decision
and situation and scenario in your life.
41
:And I think maybe I'm embarrassed
to admit that I kind of lost,
42
:I kind of lost direction.
43
:I kind of lost my intention.
44
:And it's so funny because
:
45
:is supposed to be the most
iconic year of my life because
46
:my intention for 2025 is iconic.
47
:It's for me to be bold and to be
remarkable, and to be extraordinary and
48
:maybe within being bold and extraordinary
and remarkable is also accepting every
49
:part of me and not shying away from
the parts that are not so pretty.
50
:And in fact, I know that's
true because I wrote down in my
51
:journal because, you know, I love
writing down everything is that.
52
:Well, 2025 is the year of iconic, a year
where I will thrive more than ever before
53
:by knowing myself on a deeper level.
54
:This growth will shape both my
personal and business life as I fully
55
:embody the essence of my own unique
version of iconic and make bold moves.
56
:To thrive, I must continue to be
remarkable, bold, extraordinary,
57
:and unique, even in the face of
fear, discomfort, or darkness.
58
:Shying away from what makes me who I am or
from the challenges I don't want to face,
59
:robs me of the chance to truly thrive.
60
:And you know what's so funny?
61
:Is I was running away from
the stuff I didn't wanna face.
62
:Honestly, I've probably been running
away from it for a while, and while,
63
:I guess that's why it was so hard
for me in June, because I went on
64
:vacation for almost three weeks,
and I was like, you know what?
65
:I'm just gonna run away
from my problems for a bit.
66
:I'm just gonna turn my brain off and just
be out of my, out of my normal routine.
67
:No, girl, you are running away from
problems because you were running
68
:away from your intention of iconic.
69
:You were so wrapped up in X,
Y, and Z going on in your life
70
:that you decided, you know what?
71
:I'm gonna run away.
72
:I'm not gonna face the hard shit
because I don't wanna face it.
73
:And well, guess what?
74
:It blew up in your damn face, Amanda.
75
:It blew up in your damn face.
76
:And you know what?
77
:Actually no, it didn't blow up in my face.
78
:It just made me realize the
things that I wanted to get back
79
:to when I came back to my normal
reality, my normal everyday life.
80
:And so maybe I'm happy that I strayed
away from my intention, but to get back
81
:to the core foundation of this Tea Time
session is your iconic summer reset
82
:guide all starts with going back to
your intention, going back to what you
83
:told yourself at the beginning of 2025.
84
:Because let's be honest here, we're
seven months into the year, okay?
85
:We're more than halfway through.
86
:It's time to check in with yourself.
87
:It's time to check in with that
intention and see how have you
88
:let it lead you through your life.
89
:And you know what?
90
:Honestly, I was letting iconic lead
me throughout the first five months
91
:of the year, and it was great.
92
:And it was boom, boom, boom.
93
:It was hustle, it was thriving,
it was shining, it was great.
94
:And then, you know what?
95
:June hit me in the damn face.
96
:June hit me in the damn face
and said, you know what, Amanda?
97
:You're running away from your reality.
98
:There are things in the summer that you
told yourself you were gonna deal with
99
:in this nice little off break for DTBI.
100
:You told yourself, you made the
promise when you wrote out your
101
:schedule for the entire year.
102
:You said, you know what?
103
:June through August is
gonna be your time to reset.
104
:And while you know what, let's book
a vacation to actually run away from
105
:everything that you said you were
gonna deal with so you can reset.
106
:Yeah, no, it said, you know what?
107
:You're gonna deal with it right
now while you're on vacation.
108
:It's gonna smack you in the damn
face so you can start living
109
:through you intention again.
110
:So you can start being bold,
remarkable, and extraordinary,
111
:so you can start not shying away
from the stuff that makes you you.
112
:And you know what?
113
:I actually am so happy that I had
that realization, even though June
114
:was a pain in the ass to deal with.
115
:I'm so happy.
116
:Because for the first time in a long
time, I'm dealing with shit that I've
117
:never dealt with before because I was
actually smacked in the face with, you
118
:need to get a handle on your life again.
119
:You need to start living
with your intention.
120
:How can you fully embody
your true essence of iconic?
121
:If you run away from the stuff that
makes you you, the hard shit that
122
:you don't wanna deal with, that has
shaped you into the icon you are today?
123
:How can you keep moving forward
and exploring what iconic means to
124
:you in this new era of your life
and this year of thriving, right?
125
:Of this year of transformation?
126
:If you don't deal with the hard shit,
you purposely booked the first six months
127
:of the year with a lot of exciting DTBI
milestones so that you can be busy and be
128
:on track and be like, la, la, la, la, la.
129
:And also Being in this relationship
with my boyfriend has made me face
130
:a lot of shit that I didn't want to
deal with, even though it was a number
131
:one goal of mine to deal with this
traumatic event that happened to me
132
:at 19 years old, that I've kind of
alluded throughout the seasons, right?
133
:But I told myself this year I'm gonna
deal with it and it's going to be
134
:led through this intention of being
iconic and not shying away from it
135
:because I want to deal with this.
136
:I want to heal from that trauma.
137
:I want to forgive 19-year-old Amanda
for all the shit that happened.
138
:And being in this relationship with my
boyfriend and realizing, well, damn,
139
:I've literally booked myself up for
the last six months, made myself so
140
:extremely busy so that I can avoid the
actual problem that I wanted to deal
141
:with at the beginning of the year that
inspired me to choose the word iconic.
142
:That inspired me to literally say,
stop shying away from what makes you,
143
:you, Amanda, that traumatic event,
even though it was so traumatic and
144
:painful and hurtful and damn you wish
that it never fucking happened to you,
145
:you keep shying away from it,
but it made you who you are.
146
:So your first step in your
iconic summer reset guide is
147
:to get back to your intention.
148
:Look back at what you told yourself
in the beginning of this year.
149
:Look back at your goals.
150
:Are you leading with your intention?
151
:Are you leading with
your word of the year?
152
:Are you letting it lead you
in every decision, situation,
153
:and scenario in your life.
154
:If you are not, how do we get back to it?
155
:How do we get back to the goals
that we set for ourselves?
156
:How do we get back to that word of the
year or that intention that we chose
157
:for ourselves for a specific reason?
158
:It's okay to acknowledge
that you need a reset.
159
:We are only seven months into 2025.
160
:This is the perfect time to reset and
realign yourself with your intention and
161
:the goals that you have set for yourself.
162
:'Cause sometimes, honestly,
all we need is a reset.
163
:And even when it's uncomfortable,
that just means that your growing,
164
:because growth requires friction,
everything that you do that is hard.
165
:There's going to be some type of
resistance, whether it's from yourself,
166
:from the environment, whatever it is.
167
:But that friction is necessary
in order for you to grow.
168
:So right now, for me, right
month, sixth of the year,
169
:June, oh my God, was that hard?
170
:There was a lot of growth and resistance
happening in June, but also June was
171
:a month where I realized the root of a
lot of things that were going on that I
172
:needed to deal with to get to this point
where I am talking to a therapist now
173
:and I'm dealing with X, Y, and Z that
I told myself I wanted to deal with.
174
:I'm doing that right.
175
:I saw growth from myself even in
the hard parts, and maybe that goes
176
:back to the foundation of Dare to be
iconic, where you can turn any painful
177
:moment in your life and to a powerful
opportunity maybe for me, June being a
178
:very painful, hard time for me, right?
179
:A lot of friction, a lot
of resistance, right?
180
:The powerful opportunity on the other
end for me was to actually start healing,
181
:to actually start dealing with something
I wanted to deal with and heal from for
182
:seven to eight years of my life, maybe
the powerful opportunity was me realizing
183
:I need to talk to a therapist about this.
184
:I can't just do this by myself anymore.
185
:So maybe that was the powerful
opportunity for me because that pain that
186
:I experienced in June allow me to get
to the other end of it, of realizing,
187
:okay, well this is what I need to do.
188
:This is a powerful opportunity
for me to heal, thrive, and shine.
189
:And that's the first step of
your iconic summer reset guide.
190
:don't think it's a secret that I suck
at giving myself self-compassion.
191
:I mean, we did a whole episode on it
earlier in this season, and I'll link
192
:it in the show notes for you guys, but
that's what leads me to step two in
193
:your iconic summer reset guide, which
is reflecting on how far you've come,
194
:giving yourself the kindness and the
grace and the love that you deserve, and
195
:being like, wow, even if I've strayed
away from my intention, even if I haven't
196
:accomplished all that I've wanted to
accomplish within this first half of
197
:the year, I actually have done a lot.
198
:Seeing how far you have gone with that
intention, with those goals that you set
199
:for yourself at the beginning of the year.
200
:So for me, it's all about
celebrating your progress.
201
:Healing and growth are not linear.
202
:So even when you're not
exactly where you want to be.
203
:You're still moving forward because
you're exactly where you should be
204
:at that point in time in your life.
205
:When it comes to some action steps
on reflecting on how far you've come,
206
:the first thing I'm gonna tell you
is pull out a journal, or even the
207
:notes app on your phone, and write
down three ways you've grown since
208
:January and ask yourself the question,
what have I learned about myself?
209
:What have I survived?
210
:What are my strengths?
211
:What have I discovered new about myself?
212
:Because again, we are celebrating
our progress right now.
213
:We are healing, we are growing, we are
reflecting on how far we have come.
214
:So for me, I have made a lot of progress
when it comes to this specific traumatic
215
:event that happened to me at 19 years old.
216
:Yes.
217
:I mentioned in step one that.
218
:I'm now talking to a therapist
about this so I can actually
219
:deal with this on a deeper level.
220
:And that goes with my
intention of iconic, right?
221
:Not shying away from the hard stuff
that made me who I am so I can get
222
:to know myself on a deeper level.
223
:So now when it comes to looking back on
the growth or progress I've made this year
224
:with that goal, I've actually done a lot.
225
:I've been brave enough to open up my
heart again and actually start dating
226
:someone that I think is worth my
time, my boyfriend, Sebastian, right?
227
:I was able to disclose this
situation that happened to me at 19.
228
:Never thought in a million years I
would be able to talk about something
229
:that was so private and personal to me
that not a lot of people know about.
230
:I was able to talk to him about it,
and throughout our relationship, I'm
231
:able to articulate my thoughts, my
feelings, and my emotions when it
232
:comes to that particular situation,
and how maybe triggers or reminders
233
:come up . That's huge for me.
234
:Never in my life did I
think, you know what?
235
:I'm gonna be able to talk about one of
the worst things that ever happened to
236
:me, and then also be able to articulate
my thoughts and my feelings and my
237
:emotions and all that stuff, and
have these really hard conversations
238
:with my partner that I actually
really trust with this information.
239
:At the beginning of 2025, I thought
my healing journey with this
240
:traumatic event was gonna be in a
completely different avenue and path.
241
:And well, you know what?
242
:Life had other plans for
me, and i'm so happy it did.
243
:I'm so happy Sebastian came into my life.
244
:I'm so happy that I am now forced to
deal with this because it's affecting
245
:me more than I even realized.
246
:So yeah, I've made so much
progress on that front.
247
:One of my favorite parts about this
step in particular is that you're able
248
:to have that self-reflection and you're
able to have self celebration and you're
249
:able to give yourself self-compassion.
250
:Those three things are
a recipe for Iconicness.
251
:And I think living in a social media
generation where there's all this instant
252
:gratification, we can sometimes get lost
in the noise that's around us, right?
253
:With this step in particular, we're
allowed to cut out all the noise and
254
:focus on ourselves, focus on the goals
that we have accomplished, focus on
255
:our intention, and how much we have
grown and the progress we have made,
256
:and how much we have accomplished
that is supposed to be celebrated.
257
:We are supposed to take a step
back, pat ourselves on the damn
258
:back and say, you know what?
259
:I did such a good job this year.
260
:I'm going to continue doing a good job
even if I haven't led with intention
261
:the entire time, even if I haven't
accomplished all my goals, you know what?
262
:I've made progress.
263
:I have grown.
264
:Even if it's been uncomfortable,
even if I haven't done it the way
265
:I've wanted to do it, you know what?
266
:I'm exactly where I should be and
I'm doing it the way I need to
267
:be, and I've accomplished so much.
268
:I'm proud of myself.
269
:So now that we have reset and we have
realigned, it's time to recharge.
270
:It is time to thrive.
271
:You need to create a space to heal and
dream Again, ask yourself the question,
272
:what do you need right now to feel
recharged and rooted in who you are?
273
:And here are some things that I am
doing this summer so that I can heal,
274
:thrive and shine, but make it iconic
because this summer is your chance to
275
:do things differently, radiant icons,
it's time to heal in a way that's
276
:intentional and soft, and obviously
iconic because you know, we only do
277
:iconic things here at Dare To Be Iconic.
278
:But anyway, let's get to those
action steps for this step.
279
:The first thing is I want you to
choose one way to slow down this month.
280
:Whether that is less doom
scrolling, whether that's more
281
:walks, more sleep, more books.
282
:Anything it is, I want you to
focus on something that's going
283
:to slow you down this month.
284
:One thing that I am personally doing
is I am teaming up with my friend
285
:Maria, actually, 'cause we are going
on this journey together and we
286
:are texting each other every day.
287
:These three things: one personal growth
thing that we have done for ourselves.
288
:One movement thing that we have done
for ourselves, and one meditation slash
289
:self-soothing slash breathing thing that
we have done for ourselves that allows
290
:us to root us back into who we are.
291
:So I'm on that challenge right now.
292
:It's going great.
293
:It makes you really realize the things
that you are truly doing for yourself
294
:and choosing it intentionally, right?
295
:But if you don't wanna do that another
way that I can recommend for you to
296
:create that safe space for you to heal
and dream again, is schedule a solo
297
:date, romanticize your own life, okay?
298
:You need to go on some solo dates.
299
:Pour that love that you've poured
into others into yourselves, that is
300
:going to allow you to root yourself
not only in the intention that you
301
:set for yourself at the beginning of
:
302
:who you are and where you want to be.
303
:And the third thing, recommit
to one small daily habit that
304
:makes you feel more like you.
305
:One thing that I am recommitting
to is my hot girl walks.
306
:I miss them so much in New York,
you guys, and I know you're probably
307
:like Amanda, you were in New York
City, the city that literally,
308
:literally lives on walking, okay?
309
:And like you are right.
310
:However, my hot girl walks
when I do them here in Orlando.
311
:They're always by myself in the
nice quietness of whatever path I
312
:decide to go on for my walk, right?
313
:And I have my headphones in.
314
:I'm either listening to music or
I'm talking to my girlfriends.
315
:In New York, completely different vibe.
316
:I was very overstimulated.
317
:There's a lot going on
and well, you know what?
318
:I wasn't able to have my hot
girl walks the way that I need
319
:them to root myself in who I am.
320
:Remember, radiant icons, we recharge
by being kinder to ourselves.
321
:Now that we have recharged, it's
time for your last and final step
322
:in your iconic summer reset guide.
323
:And that is realignment.
324
:It is time to shine.
325
:When it comes to realignment so
that you can shine in this next
326
:era of your life, I want you to
revisit your goals radiant icons.
327
:What still resonates with you?
328
:Which needs more tweaking?
329
:An example of something that resonates
with me still is healing from my
330
:trauma for 19-year-old Amanda.
331
:That is still relevant to me.
332
:That resonates with me right now, that
is rooted in my intention of iconic.
333
:I'm not shying away from the hard
stuff and I'm getting to know myself
334
:on a deeper level because if I shy
away from healing from that traumatic
335
:event that happened to me, I am robbing
myself of the opportunity to thrive.
336
:That goal still resonates
with me and my intention.
337
:Now when we're thinking of a
goal that needs tweaking, for me
338
:personally, an example would be my,
utilize my voice for social good,
339
:have hard conversations, and make an
impact on issues close to my heart.
340
:This year, I have pushed myself to
have conversations that are hard, that
341
:are difficult, that are uncomfortable,
things that I don't usually talk about.
342
:I pushed myself this
year to talk about them.
343
:That is correct.
344
:I did talk about them, but I
know I can push myself further
345
:and make more of an impact.
346
:So that's a goal for me that I want
to tweak because I know I can do more
347
:with that, I've just hit the surface.
348
:Now I need to lead with iconicness, right?
349
:I need to lead with that intention
of iconic, and I need to not shy
350
:away from it, even if it scares me.
351
:And lastly, radiant icons, I want you
to create a tiny mantra that will ground
352
:you through the rest of this year.
353
:Mine is embrace the pain
and make peace with it.
354
:I need to embrace the pain no matter
how hard it is, and make peace with
355
:it, and I will continue to do that
for the remainder of:
356
:can live out my intention of iconic.
357
:All right, radiant icons.
358
:That is your tea time sesh for today.
359
:If you enjoy today's episode, make
sure to subscribe to leave a Rating, a
360
:review to tell your friends about us,

:you know we love more radiant icons,
and now we're iconic community of ours.
362
:Honestly, radiant icons.
363
:I've missed you guys so much, and this
Tea Time session was one that I needed
364
:to get off my chest, off my heart
and talk it through with you guys.
365
:So thank you for giving me the space to
have these conversations with you guys
366
:and allowing me to be so vulnerable
about what's going on in my life.
367
:And I hope by spilling the tea about
my life and opening up my heart to
368
:the not so shiny shit in my life
allows you to feel less alone.
369
:And I know I feel less alone when you
guys dm me about what's going on in your
370
:life and how an episode has touched you.
371
:I hope this episode makes the impact
on you for your iconic summer reset, so
372
:you can heal, thrive and shine because
we're doing it together,radiant icons.
373
:Okay, we are, my voice is a little
tired because I yapped too much.
374
:So I'm gonna end the episode now, but
I'll chat with you next week, okay?
375
:Alright.
376
:radiant icons.
377
:Remember dare to be iconic.
378
:Bye.
