What's up, Radiant Icons?

2

:

And welcome back to Dare to be

Iconic, the podcast made for

3

:

icons daring to be themselves.

4

:

I'm your host, Amanda Paolicelli, and

today's Tea Time Sesh is dedicated

5

:

to the dare to be iconic hotline.

6

:

That's right.

7

:

I am answering all of your questions

live on today's podcast episode.

8

:

And if I don't get to your

question, radiant icons, no worries.

9

:

I am saving your questions for specific

episodes later on in the season, because

10

:

they fit with the topic that will be

discussed, but for all the questions

11

:

that didn't fit into a category or topic

that is coming up later on in season two.

12

:

We're answering them here together live.

13

:

And you guys sent in some

really great questions.

14

:

I mean, I'm not surprised.

15

:

You guys always kill it.

16

:

But these questions are fun.

17

:

They're lighthearted.

18

:

They challenge me.

19

:

It's, it's good.

20

:

It's a nice little bunch here today.

21

:

I'm excited to get into it with

you guys, but before we do that,

22

It has been months in the making.

31

Literally my blood, sweat, tears.

32

35

:

you deserve it, Radiant Icons.

36

:

And now Let's get to the tea, shall we?

37

:

I mean the best part.

38

:

Let's get into it.

39

:

Are you ready, Radiant icons?

40

:

Because your tea time

sesh is starting now.

41

:

I just want to say before I

get into the first question!

42

:

The first question for this Tea Time Sesh!

43

:

You guys know me so well.

44

:

The first question on this

hotline is, Amanda, what are

45

:

your top three celebrity crushes?

46

:

I think I know one at least.

47

:

Well, if you guys aren't following me

on Instagram, then you may not know

48

:

this because I don't speak about my love

for Andrew Garfield on the podcast.,

49

:

which is kind of, like, really surprising.

50

:

Because if you scroll all the way

down to, like, some of my first

51

:

ever TikToks, It's like Andrew

Garfield coded like I love that man.

52

:

Um, so if you don't know my

love for Andrew Garfield,

53

:

I have a resurgence for it.

54

:

I'm in my Andrew Garfield era again.

55

:

So Andrew Garfield is definitely

one of my celebrity crushes.

56

:

He's tied with Lando Norris.

57

:

I don't think that's a surprise to

anyone listening to this podcast.

58

:

And then my third one.

59

:

Oh, that is so hard you guys ,I would

say probably Glenn Powell I love me some

60

:

Glenn Powell, I'm not gonna lie, so.

61

:

Yeah, I think it's Andrew Garfield and

Lando Norris tied, and then Glenn Powell.

62

:

My celebrity crushes are a little

bit everywhere, but you know what?

63

:

That's me.

64

:

And yeah, Andrew Garfield,

if you ever want to call me,

65

:

that's okay with me as well.

66

:

Okay, let's get to the next question.

67

:

Have you ever had an embarrassing

or unexpected crush moment?

68

:

When I was in fourth grade, there

was this, oh my god, I can't believe

69

:

I'm like, actually admitting this.

70

:

I have not told anyone.

71

:

This is so wild.

72

:

Okay.

73

:

So like, when I was in fourth

grade, there was this guy named Ben.

74

:

He had red hair, and I was so into him.

75

:

Like, literally so into him.

76

:

And I was not popular in middle school.

77

:

I wasn't even popular in junior high.

78

:

I wasn't popular in high school.

79

:

I just wasn't popular.

80

:

Okay, you guys, like, I was the theater

girl who thought she was gonna be famous.

81

:

And, um, I had the biggest crush on

this guy, Ben, and he liked basketball.

82

:

And so for his birthday, I

made him a homemade card that

83

:

was the shape of a basketball.

84

:

I think I said something like happy

birthday from your, like, Secret admirer.

85

:

He decides to tell the teacher that he got

this card- shows the card to Miss Reiney.

86

:

That was my teacher in fourth grade.

87

:

I don't even know why he was

complaining, to be honest.

88

:

Because if someone gave me a card

for my birthday for my secret

89

:

admirer, I would have loved it.

90

:

So I don't know what was Ben's problem,

but he told the teacher and the

91

:

teacher then makes an announcement

in front of the entire class that we

92

:

don't need to be like giving cards

to people and saying secret admirers.

93

:

Like we don't need to

be doing all of this.

94

:

Like, excuse me.

95

:

What is this?

96

:

I put so much time and effort in it.

97

:

Why are you going to

embarrass me like that?

98

:

Again?

99

:

No one knew it was me.

100

:

I mean, actually, I really don't

know if anyone knew it was me.

101

:

But I never, I never

said anything about it.

102

:

And also Ben, if you

are listening to this.

103

:

Well, why did you have to do me like that?

104

:

You could have just like

thrown the card out.

105

:

Okay.

106

:

You didn't have to tell the teacher.

107

:

Like, I don't understand.

108

:

I don't understand why you

did that, but like, whatever.

109

:

We have a story to tell.

110

:

I cannot believe I've

said that on this podcast.

111

:

That is so crazy.

112

:

Oh my god.

113

:

Good questions, Radiant Icons.

114

:

This is the stuff that

people want to know.

115

:

Um, let's get to the next question.

116

:

What's your most iconic fangirl moment?

117

:

Mm, I have two.

118

:

Okay.

119

:

Recently, it would be the Spanish

Grand Prix and meeting Logan Sargent.

120

:

Absolutely, hands down.

121

:

That was like, One of the most

iconic fangirl moments of my life.

122

:

And then the second one would

be seeing One Direction in

123

:

Tampa for the Where We Are tour.

124

:

Because again, huge Directioner, I

was a Liam girl, and yes, I am still

125

:

mourning, like, please, like, I cannot

talk anymore about One Direction.

126

:

Unless I want to sob, like, I'm literally,

there's a rumor right now that One

127

:

Direction may be having a possible reunion

to honor Liam to do a tribute at the

128

:

Brits, and I literally will crash out.

129

:

I will be so unwell.

130

:

I've been unwell since

I've heard this rumor.

131

:

I, I am not doing okay, you guys.

132

:

I truly am still processing my

grief and mourning Liam because

133

:

he was such a big part of my life.

134

:

So any One Direction memory for me

will be an iconic fangirl moment

135

:

because One Direction raised me.

136

:

Liam Payne is the reason that

I have the professional fangirl

137

:

angle that I have today.

138

:

Like, he truly was the person

that started it for me.

139

:

Liam was my whole entire world, and

so for me whenever I now look back on

140

:

One Direction, I look back on all the

joy they gave me, especially Liam,

141

:

because I looked up to him so much.

142

:

I even wrote a paper,

not even just a paper.

143

:

It was like this whole booklet.

144

:

It was Liam Payne, the, the boy who lives,

I forgot the like subtitle I, I wrote

145

:

for, it was for my eighth grade project.

146

:

I wrote it about Liam Payne because

he made such an impact on my life.

147

:

Those five boys did, but,

Liam was everything to me.

148

:

So when I think of iconic fangirl

moments, I have to mention One Direction.

149

:

Those are some of my

iconic fangirl moments.

150

:

Sorry to get sappy, but, you know,

we gotta be honest and real here.

151

:

It's the Dare to be Iconic

podcast for a reason, you know?

152

:

Alright, next question!

153

:

How proud are you of how far

your radiant icons have been able

154

:

to grow because of your work?

155

:

Ooh, this question makes me emotional.

156

:

Because when I think about you guys,

when I think of my radiant icons, I

157

:

always get emotional because it's

kind of Ooh, these tears are coming!

158

:

Um, whenever I think of you guys and

I see the messages that you send me

159

:

on how dare to be iconic has How it's

impacted your life, how it's transformed

160

:

your life, so on and so forth.

161

:

It like, makes me so happy, and like,

these are happy tears right now.

162

:

But it's also such a surreal feeling,

because this was just a dream that I had

163

:

in my heart that had the courage to go

after it, not knowing if it was going to

164

:

work, even though, deep, deep down, I was

like, this shit's going to work, you know?

165

:

Sometimes it's hard to

keep pushing forward.

166

:

Sometimes it's, it's hard to

keep fighting for a dream.

167

:

And sometimes it does get

discouraging as a young entrepreneur.

168

:

And also just as a young, like 26 year

old girl trying to figure out who she is.

169

:

It's hard putting your heart

out there and sharing your voice

170

:

and being so vulnerable online.

171

:

And I know I chose to do this.

172

:

Especially with Dare to be Iconic

because it is about my life and , to

173

:

see the messages and to hear how

it's helped you in your life.

174

:

No matter what scenario it is, by me

just being me, and by me sharing my

175

:

voice, it makes me so immensely proud.

176

:

And, I love you guys for changing my life,

and for being here, and for supporting me.

177

:

And Kat, I know you sent this

question in, and I'm so proud of you.

178

:

I wanted to give you a special shout out,

because you've sent me a lot of messages

179

:

that truly make my heart so happy.

180

:

And I'm proud of you.

181

:

And I'm proud of all of you guys.

182

:

And I love you guys so much.

183

:

Now I'm going to stop crying

and get to the next question.

184

:

What's a goal you've set for

yourself that scares you a little?

185

:

There is one goal this

year that does scare me.

186

:

It scares me a lot, actually.

187

:

It doesn't even scare me a little,

and it's to deal with a specific

188

:

traumatic instance in my life that

I've been avoiding for seven years.

189

:

the specific traumatic event that I

keep alluding to in a lot of my trauma

190

:

episodes and I made a firm boundary

with myself that I will not talk about

191

:

it because I'm not ready to divulge the

details of that situation, but What I can

192

:

say to answer this question truthfully

and honestly Is that I have made it a

193

:

goal for myself this year in the year

of iconic to Be bold and face this

194

:

trauma head on and actually deal with it

because I have been shying away from it.

195

:

I have been avoiding it.

196

:

And the more I push that shit under the

rug, I know it's gonna bite me in the ass.

197

:

That's just to be completely

frank with you guys.

198

:

I know it will bite me in the

ass if I don't deal with it.

199

:

And it feels like now in 2025, in the year

of Iconic, it feels like the right time

200

:

for me to deal with this trauma head on.

201

:

So, yeah, that's a goal that I have this

year that I know I need to do, but I

202

:

need to do it in baby steps, and I'm,

I'm doing it, slowly but surely, and I'm

203

:

proud of that, but it scares me, you guys.

204

:

It scares me a lot.

205

:

So, it's not easy.

206

:

It's really, really hard.

207

:

That's me being honest with you guys.

208

:

How do you deal with a breakup?

209

:

I was recently broken up with and

it's hitting me hard right now.

210

:

Well, the first thing I want to say is

that I'm sorry that you are dealing with

211

:

this heartache and this pain right now.

212

:

Like, breakups are not fun, and

they hurt, and they are hard, okay?

213

:

So please give yourself grace and be

kind to yourself during this time.

214

:

The second thing I want to say is

that healing takes time, especially

215

:

when your heart is aching.

216

:

And sometimes it feels like

you're on top of the world, and

217

:

other times it feels like you can

barely get out of bed and eat.

218

:

And that is completely normal.

219

:

And everything that you are

feeling right now is valid.

220

:

Whether you were the person that was

broken up with or you are the person that

221

:

broke up with the person, it still hurts.

222

:

And in this case, when it comes to

dealing with a breakup, there is

223

:

not one true way to deal with it.

224

:

Like in quotation marks,

there is not one way to fix a

225

:

breakup ,to fix that heartache.

226

:

However the first step in moving forward

in your healing journey from a breakup is

227

:

to prioritize yourself and do what feels

right for you . Do what you need to do.

228

:

It is okay to be selfish in this time.

229

:

It is okay to put yourself first.

230

:

That's how you start

healing from your heartache.

231

:

That's how you deal with the

breakup, or at least the first

232

:

steps of dealing with a breakup.

233

:

You have to do what feels right for you.

234

:

Take this time to get to know

yourself on a deeper level.

235

:

Take the time to put yourself out

there, maybe to distract your mind.

236

:

And if you want to go and download the

dating apps and talk to whoever it is

237

:

for a bit to, you know, distract yourself

from the pain in your heart, that's okay.

238

:

Do it.

239

:

There is no judgment.

240

:

Do what feels right for you.

241

:

Just make sure you're

taking care of yourself.

242

:

And also, I want to add that I'll

be talking more about dealing with

243

:

heartbreak and healing from it and

like, dating, all that stuff later on

244

:

in season 2, so definitely make sure

to tune in for the later half of the

245

:

season, but to answer this question

right now, prioritize yourself.

246

:

And you got this.

247

:

How different do you think

your life would be if you never

248

:

received the breakup letter?

249

:

To be honest, I don't think my

life would be any different.

250

:

I think my ex and I still

would have parted ways.

251

:

I think we still would have broken up.

252

:

I would hope if it wasn't

through a letter, at least

253

:

it would have been mutual.

254

:

But, you know, that's me hoping.

255

:

But, we still would have broken up.

256

:

Like, we would not be together.

257

:

And I can confidently say that.

258

:

On the other hand, I do think I

still would have ran my own business.

259

:

Like I would have started something of

my own, which is what I'm doing now.

260

:

So I don't think it would have

looked differently in that aspect.

261

:

However, I don't know if it would

have been dare to be iconic,

262

:

to be honest with you guys.

263

:

I think maybe it would have been

a production company or it would

264

:

have been dare to be iconic.

265

:

I think it's one of those two pathways.

266

:

And it really would have depended

on if You know, my ex and I

267

:

would have stayed together.

268

:

We would have moved to Atlanta.

269

:

I still would have been acting

for a little bit longer.

270

:

Maybe that would have changed my mind

about how I felt in that acting job.

271

:

And maybe I would have leaned more

into producing, like just maybe

272

:

just running a production company.

273

:

Like, I don't know that so to say, and

like, maybe that's where my life would

274

:

have looked a little bit differently,

but altogether, I can confidently

275

:

say I definitely still would have

started my own business and my ex and

276

:

I definitely would not be together.

277

:

But it's kind of weird to think

about, hmm, like, maybe Dare to be

278

:

Iconic wouldn't have been a thing,

but, you know, I'm happy everything

279

:

turned out the way that, that it did.

280

:

Truly, I truly, truly do.

281

:

I'm so happy for that letter now.

282

:

Back then, absolutely not.

283

:

But right now, in this moment,

I wear it as a badge of honor.

284

:

Because my life has changed for

the better because of it, so.

285

:

What's a self love habit

that has changed your life?

286

:

Just organically incorporating little

moments of gratitude in my day and

287

:

taking a moment to really Breathe in the

blessings and like recognizing them, even

288

:

if they're like the smallest thing of

oh my gosh, I was able to listen to One

289

:

Direction today, or I was able to read a

chapter of my book, or the sky was blue,

290

:

Even the smallest things like that and

expressing my gratitude like That is a

291

:

self love habit that has changed my life

completely so definitely definitely if

292

:

you haven't already start incorporating

gratitude into your like Daily like ritual

293

:

routine, whatever you want to call it

start incorporating moments of gratitude.

294

:

Thank me later.

295

:

Ooh, what's the quickest way

someone can lose your trust?

296

:

By being a two face, like to be blunt with

you guys, I truly cannot trust someone

297

:

who says one thing and does another.

298

:

And here's an example, if you say to

me that you cannot trust X, Y, and Z

299

:

because of blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,

and not The next time you see them,

300

:

that you're gonna tell them, blah, blah,

blah, blah, blah, like, tell them what

301

:

they did and why you don't like it, and

you are so solid in that opinion, right?

302

:

And then, when that person comes back

to your life, and yes, I'm drawing from

303

:

personal experience here, but when that

person comes back into their life, the

304

:

person that they said that they feel

X, Y, and Z about, and that blah, blah,

305

:

blah, blah, blah, and all of a sudden

they change their tune, I can't trust you.

306

:

I cannot trust you when you do that.

307

:

If you say you're gonna do

something, if you say that you

308

:

feel something, own up to it.

309

:

Nothing drives me crazier in this world

than someone being two faced or someone

310

:

not owning up to what they are saying.

311

:

If you are saying this behind

someone's back and then you

312

:

change your tune when they're in

front of you, I can't trust you.

313

:

I cannot.

314

:

That's my opinion.

315

:

Oh, well.

316

:

What's your best advice for

someone struggling with confidence?

317

:

Ooh, wait.

318

:

Okay.

319

:

I love this question because the next

masterclass is focused all on confidence.

320

:

It's called Daring to be Confident.

321

:

It's on April 19th.

322

:

Tickets are now live.

323

:

Also, if you're wondering, you can grab

them now on the website, daretobeiconic.

324

:

com under empowerment events.

325

:

But let's get to this question.

326

:

Okay.

327

:

And we'll go more into this in the master

class, but I think my best advice When

328

:

you are struggling with confidence is that

it's not about doubting yourself, okay?

329

:

It's about deciding to show up for

yourself, even when you're scared.

330

:

You need to decide to show up

with bravery and courage, even

331

:

when you're scared of doing it.

332

:

You need to do it anyway.

333

:

That is what confidence is all about.

334

:

You need to build it up.

335

:

You need to tell yourself that

you can figure it out, even if

336

:

you don't know all the steps.

337

:

So my advice, if you are struggling with

confidence, is you need to build it up.

338

:

When that doubt creeps in, when

that imposter syndrome creeps in.

339

:

You need to decide to show

up for yourself anyway.

340

:

You need to do it.

341

:

Do it scared if you

have to, but just do it.

342

:

You need to acknowledge it.

343

:

You need to push through it,

and you just have to do it.

344

:

Show up for yourself.

345

:

That's the bravest thing that you can do.

346

:

What would little baby

Amanda think of her now?

347

:

I think little baby Amanda would

be in awe of the Amanda today.

348

:

I think she would be so

immensely proud of her.

349

:

I think she would be almost starstruck.

350

:

And like, Just in awe of everything

that she's been able to accomplish.

351

:

And I just think she would be like,

smiling ear to ear, being like, Wow,

352

:

like, you did everything you said you

were gonna do and more, like, Our dreams

353

:

came true, and I'm so proud of you.

354

:

And I think she would have been

really happy that she never

355

:

stopped believing in herself.

356

:

I think she would be really happy

that she kept going when people

357

:

told her that all these big dreams

that she had were really stupid.

358

:

I just think she would be so happy

and so proud and Just like in awe

359

:

that this is her life now and that

everything that she said and she

360

:

dreamed of Came true or is coming true.

361

:

And I think that's really really cool.

362

:

And I'm not gonna cry again.

363

:

Because we've already

cried during this episode.

364

:

So let's get to the next question.

365

:

What is some advice that you have

for aspiring business owners?

366

:

I think my advice would be, it's going to

sound a little cliche, but it's so true.

367

:

Don't ever stop believing in yourself.

368

:

Keep fighting for your dream.

369

:

Keep fighting for what you believe in.

370

:

And when everyone tells you no,

because there will be a lot of

371

:

people who will tell you no.

372

:

There will be a lot of people who don't

understand your vision or your dream.

373

:

You need to tell yourself yes.

374

:

You need to keep going.

375

:

You need to keep showing up for yourself.

376

:

Keep showing up for your dreams.

377

:

You just have to keep doing it.

378

:

You have to keep pushing forward.

379

:

Even if no one else

understands it, so what?

380

:

They don't need to understand it.

381

:

You just need to keep going because

your dream is worth fighting for.

382

:

And that is what my advice would be.

383

:

What is your biggest, I can't believe

this is my life moment so far?

384

:

I definitely think it's the

magazine cover behind me.

385

:

I was the July cover girl or the

Motorsports Girlies magazine.

386

:

At that time it was the F1 Girlies

magazine, and that was definitely like,

387

:

oh my god, like, I can't believe, like,

this is my life moment for me, because

388

:

little baby Amanda always dreamed of being

on the cover of a magazine, specifically,

389

:

it was the Seventeen magazine cover, but

this is like, pretty cool, you guys.

390

:

So, that moment was like, oh my god,

like, I can't believe this is my life.

391

:

Or even, like, the rooftop in Barcelona

for Off to the Races, like, that sunset

392

:

sessions, That was also a moment where I

was like, holy shit, like this is my life

393

:

and it was all because I kept believing

in myself and I kept fighting for my

394

:

dream and when everyone told me no, I

told myself yes, so For those aspiring

395

:

business owners, your oh my god I can't

believe this is my life moment will come

396

:

when you stop caring what other people

think and you just keep fighting for

397

:

your dream and you just keep doing it.

398

:

I promise you it will work out.
