3
:I'm your host Amanda Paolicelli and for
today's Tea Time sesh, we are giving a

5
:that is on April 19th at 1:00 PM Eastern.

:under the empowerment Events section.
8
:But in today's tea time session
not only am I giving you a little
9
:bit of a teaser of what to expect
in that live masterclass, but
10
:I'm also going to be spilling the
tea on my why behind this class.
11
:Why did I choose to create this
curriculum, to create this class
12
:and share it with you guys.
13
:And confidence obviously is the core
of Dare To Be iconic because when I say
14
:dare to be iconic, I mean dare to be you.
15
:There is nothing more powerful in
this world than daring to be yourself.
16
:And that all stems from being so
comfortable and confident in your skin.
17
:So let's get to it, radiant
icons, are you ready?
18
:Because your tea time
sesh is starting now.
19
:Now the Daring to Be Confident
Masterclass is a 90 minute live
20
:interactive virtual masterclass.
21
:So you can join from anywhere in the
world and tune in, and I will be guiding
22
:you with tools, exercises, and strategies
that I've personally used in my life.
23
:It's basically the ultimate
confidence playbook.
24
:I'll be answering your questions live
throughout the whole entire thing.
25
:Plus some dare to be iconic
announcements and a special giveaway
26
:for two lucky Radiant icons who
attend the live masterclass.
27
:I think the really cool thing about
the Daring to Be Confident Masterclass
28
:is that it's actually an extension
of the 30 day social media challenge,
29
:daring to be confident, that we did
last February on Valentine's Day.
30
:And I think what's really cool about
that particular challenge and now this
31
:masterclass is that it was inspired by a
really low point in my life and I'm able
32
:to turn that pain into power and that
specific pain was my journey with eczema.
33
:I know I've mentioned it briefly on
the podcast before and I know I've
34
:been a little bit more vocal about
it on social media, but the daring
35
:to be confident 30 day social media
challenge all came to be because of how
36
:low my self-esteem and mental health
was because of my eczema flareup.
37
:I've struggled with eczema my entire
life, and I hadn't had a flareup in
38
:about seven years, and it wasn't until
I had turned 25 around my birthday where
39
:my legs, and that's where I get eczema.
40
:Like the worst for me is like my legs
and like the inside of my elbows.
41
:Um.
42
:It just started to flare up and then it
spread to my chest and to my face, and
43
:I've never experienced that before in
my life, especially because my eczema
44
:was dormant for seven years of my life.
45
:And I just remember calling all of my
girlfriends and just feeling so so broken
46
:because my self-esteem was so extremely
low and I was fighting this constant
47
:battle of not recognizing my skin in the
mirror and just wanting to feel pretty,
48
:just wanting to feel beautiful again.
49
:Just wanting to feel like myself because I
wasn't recognizing the body that I was in.
50
:And that's what I think a lot of people
don't talk about when you struggle
51
:with, you know, with your skin.
52
:When it comes to eczema, there's not
a lot of people out there that talk
53
:about it and vocalize how detrimental
it can be for your mental health.
54
:And I just felt so incredibly alone.
55
:Oh, already crying.
56
:Okay.
57
:But I just felt so incredibly alone
on this journey because I would look
58
:on social media and I would see all
these girls with like perfect skin,
59
:and like my skin was attacking me
and I didn't recognize who I was and
60
:that really messed me up mentally.
61
:I was at the lowest low, like even lower
than when I got out of my breakup, and I
62
:was so frustrated with myself on top of
that because I was like, I did all this
63
:work to help my mindset and I still am
reverting back to I'm not pretty enough.
64
:I'm not enough because
my skin to me looks ugly.
65
:I am ugly automatically by association
because I didn't recognize what
66
:I was seeing in the mirror.
67
:And
68
:I remember being on the phone call with
Deandra, one of my really good friends,
69
:and she was just being there for me and
telling me that you're not alone in this.
70
:Like we all go through our
own personal struggles with
71
:confidence and with our body.
72
:Like there's always something
that we're insecure about.
73
:It was in that moment on that phone
call when I realized, you know what?
74
:We really are going on
this journey together.
75
:Because the more friends that I opened
up to about how I felt regarding my
76
:confidence and my eczema, they opened
up to me in return about how they were
77
:feeling about certain things in their
life that you know, were an insecurity
78
:of theirs that they were battling with
and how it affected their confidence.
79
:I felt less alone because I
could relate to them on some
80
:level of, "I don't feel my best."
81
:"I'm really struggling here.
82
:"And so I created the 30 day Daring to
be Confident Social Media Challenge.
83
:And when I saw the results from all
lovely, radiant icons who participated
84
:in that challenge, I was like,
there is something here, there is
85
:something so magical about this.
86
:How can we extend it to be even
bigger than just a challenge.
87
:Let's create momentum.
88
:So I created The Daring to
Be Confident Masterclass.
89
:Now, let's get to the sneak
peek of what to expect.
90
:So the first step in radiating
confidence is understanding
91
:confidence, but understanding what
it means to you because we all have
92
:different definitions of confidence.
93
:But all that matters for you to radiate
it like never before is to understand
94
:your own personal definition of it,
because confidence infiltrates every
95
:other aspect of our lives, so we
need to know what it means to us.
96
:My personal definition of confidence comes
from this unwavering belief in yourself,
97
:even when the world tries to shake you,
because it will and it will try to shake
98
:you so many times, but you have to have
this unwavering belief in yourself.
99
:And for me, if that's my
personal definition, I.
100
:Then I've always been confident,
'cause I've always had this
101
:underlining belief in who I am.
102
:Even when shit hits the fan,
I still believe in myself.
103
:So that's my definition of
confidence and that's how I can
104
:radiate it from the inside out
because I believe in that for me.
105
:And I allow that definition to
lead me into every area of my life,
106
:into every relationship in my life.
107
:'cause that's how I show up as my
most confident, most boldest self.
108
:So when it comes to understanding
what confidence means to
109
:me, challenge yourself.
110
:Look within and see, okay.
111
:What is my definition of confidence
and how can I apply that to
112
:multiple areas of my life?
113
:How can I lead with that
definition in my life?
114
:And when it comes to defining
right, what confidence means to me,
115
:sometimes it's not that easy to get
to the nitty gritty of it, right?
116
:Confidence is a tricky thing, and when
it comes to deciding on that definition
117
:of confidence that is so personal to you,
I challenge you to think of what was a
118
:time where you felt most confident and
what contributed to that moment . And a
119
:moment where I felt the most confident
recently would be the Spanish Grand Prix.
120
:At the Spanish Grand Prix, I was fully
embracing the experience for what it
121
:is, and I was making connections and I.
122
:I was embracing who I was.
123
:I was daring to be myself.
124
:I was literally living out the
definition of dare to be iconic.
125
:That made me feel the most
confident because I wasn't trying
126
:to be someone that I was not.
127
:I was fully showing up into every
room, to every event as myself, myself.
128
:And it kept showing me that when
you lean into who you are, and when
129
:I lead with this confidence, having
this unwavering belief in myself,
130
:magic is going to happen for me.
131
:And what contributed to that moment
for me to feel so confident in myself?
132
:Well, it was preparation, it
was passion and it was trusting
133
:that I belonged in these spaces.
134
:So now that we have chosen our personal
definition of confidence, and a moment
135
:where we let confidence lead us, it's
now time to think of the external factors
136
:that shape our opinion about confidence.
137
:And here's the thing, like I mentioned in
my reasoning as to why I, I started the
138
:daring to be confident concept, right?
139
:Whether it was that challenge or
now the masterclass, it all was how
140
:these external factors for me, social
media, affected the way I saw myself,
141
:how it affected my self-esteem,
how it affected my self-confidence.
142
:Because for me, I lived in a world
where my feed was all of perfect.
143
:People, always looking perfect, having
perfect bodies, having perfect skin,
144
:having everything that was perfect.
145
:And when I looked in the mirror
and I saw my eczema flare up, that
146
:was red and scratchy and bright
and bold that you draw attention to
147
:no matter where you were looking.
148
:I wasn't perfect, but what I realized
is that my insecurity does not
149
:define me, and confidence doesn't
mean not having insecurities.
150
:We're human, we're all
going to have insecurities.
151
:But it's about showing up
despite of your insecurities.
152
:So every day, that personal definition
of confidence that I have for myself,
153
:which is having this unwavering
belief in myself, no matter how much
154
:the world wants to shake me, right?
155
:And in that instance, eczema
was trying to shake me, right?
156
:Eczema was my insecurity that
was having its choke hold on
157
:me affecting my confidence.
158
:It doesn't mean that's
not an insecurity of mine.
159
:My eczema will always, always,
always be an insecurity of mine
160
:that will never go away, but it's
how I decide to show up despite my
161
:insecurities, despite my eczema.
162
:How do I show up?
163
:How do I decide to be confident in that
moment when I don't feel like an icon,
164
:when I don't feel like a bad bitch?
165
:How do I show up for myself?
166
:How do I lead with confidence?
167
:So let's break it down.
168
:My external factor was social media
and seeing perfect people with perfect
169
:bodies and perfect skin that fed
into what I thought confidence was.
170
:It wasn't until I broke down that
concept of confidence for me and decided
171
:on my personal definition, and then
went to a moment where I felt the most
172
:confident, where I felt my most boldest,
most iconic self, where I truly did
173
:radiate confidence like never before.
174
:Okay.
175
:How are they intertwined?
176
:It was because no matter how much
my eczema was flaring up in the
177
:Spanish heat, I never let it define
me while I was at the Spanish
178
:Grand Prix, I showed up as myself.
179
:I didn't let eczema define me.
180
:I didn't let it shake me.
181
:I showed up in every
room, every day as myself.
182
:I led with confidence.
183
:I led with this unwavering
belief in myself.
184
:I didn't let those external factors, I
didn't let my insecurities dictate how
185
:I was gonna show up, and that's what
you need to decide in this next step.
186
:What is your confidence block
and how can you overcome it?
187
:And if you loved all of this,
this is just the beginning of
188
:the ultimate confidence playbook.
